Perfect day out. Peter who was our guide was excellent - charming, knowledgeable and humorous. We went to three wineries Jacuzzi and Cline, smallish and super friendly and Robert Mondavi, a big concern where you saw the wine process from grapes on the vine to bottle. Lots of tastings at all venues. Absolutely worth the money and a fab day out. Cheers 🍷 👍

Misha was a great tour guide, kept us on schedule all day, gave us great insights into San Francisco, Sonoma, and Napa—and gave us a few laughs too. The wineries were amazing! Highly recommend.

Our driver and guide, Anya, picked us up from our Fisherman’s Wharf hotel on time and with a smile. There was only one other couple on the tour, so we got plenty of personalised service and were able to get really close to the action.

Anya provided entertaining and informed commentary and took us to some interesting spots. We stopped at Vista Point to take some photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, then continued past Sausalito, Muir Woods and on to the first winery in the Sonoma Valley - Jacuzzi. Our host at Jacuzzi told us about the history of the winery and the Jacuzzi family (yes, the ones of hot tub fame), then introduced us to the wines, which were lovely. We had some time to tour their gift shop and try their olive oil and balsamic vinegar - their White Champagne vinegar is appearing regularly on my salads back home in Australia!

Next, across the road to the Cline Cellars where we tried more wines (starting get a bit squiffy by this stage) and were given time to walk around and also feed the voracious carp in their fish pond.

Lunch was pre-ordered and delivered quickly when we arrived in Sonoma. The Plaza Bistro is a sweet little Italian which served up Caesar Salad and Pork Scallopini, which was delicious. Afterwards we had time to explore and found ourselves at Sweet Scoops Icecream, which did a pretty good pumpkin latte flavour.

We took the time to take photos in front of the Napa Valley sign before joining our tour at Domaine Chandon where we learnt how to make sparkling wine and sampled quite a bit of it, too. Then, back to San Francisco in time for dinner.

Would thoroughly recommend this tour and our guide, Anya. We went in December when the visitor numbers were at their lowest; you might have to wait a bit longer if you’re going in the Summer, but with a maximum of 14 people on a tour, you won’t have to wait too long.

This was money well spent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and I loved the fact that I was with a small group. The tour and visits of the wineries was well put together.

We enjoyed ourselves on this tour. We was picked up within the time frame that was giving to me. We started off visiting two wine vineyards. The wine was amazing and wasn’t pricey at all. We then had lunch, and the food was amazing. Afterwards, we went to a champagne tour. I’m not a champagne person, but I tasted some pretty good champagne on this tour. Our driver was very well informed with the vineyards we visited and the history of the areas we drove through. I wish we had the opportunity to stop at the Golden Gate Bridge to take pictures and experience the amazing view. I know it wasn’t an option on the tour, but I think that would’ve made my experience perfect.

Strongly recommend. Peter our driver was excellent and had a little spunk so there was always a laugh!

Our tour guide Malcolm picked us up at our hotel. On the way to the vineyards he was very informative and pleasant. Our first tour stop was Viansa Sonoma, beautiful area, very informative and great wine. After lunch Malcolm said he had a great surprise to take us to the vineyard of a gentleman who had a small vineyard. It was HORRIBLE. It was down a dusty street, not even a vineyard - just a garage and two outdoor places to taste the wine. We sat in the heat under a covered porch. It was old, dirty and dusty. There were spider webs on the tables and the fans. Fans were so loud could hardly hear the lady talking about the wines. Bathrooms were trailers. I have visited many vineyards and this should not even be on a tour. The wine was not even "good" wine. I am sorry I did not get the name of this place, but I was so upset I wasn't thinking. I planned this trip for my husband and I and his 3 brothers and spouses ---- it was embarrassing. Lastly was Domaine Chandon which was a wonderful tour. There were eight of us at $169 per person and do not feel we received a great tour for that price. Mainly because the second tour was so BAD. Once the tour was over and we headed back to SF Malcolm neve spoke a word to us and drove the van so fast it was uncomfortable with all the bumps in the road. Lastly, I called the day before our tour and asked what vineyards we would be visiting - I was told Cline, Jacuizz and Domaine Chandon. Really wished we had visiting one of those instead of the second crappy vineyard we were taken too.

It was a wonderful experience visiting wine country. Our guide Anya was terrific. Also the lunch was delicious. Thank you!!

  • 18-Sep-2019

2 relatively unknown (although Jacuzzi was a welcome surprise) in Sonoma and only one brief stop in Napa on an obviously shorter tour and tasting than usual was overall a disappointment

First time in Wine Country this tour was the best choice! We chose the Small-Group tour because we only had one day to devote to this opportunity. Cindy was the best driver/host and the guests in our group were so friendly and fun. Weather was perfect and wines were superb. Lunch was delicious and shopping was the icing on top! I would chose this tour again!
