Know More about this tour

After departing Paris in the early morning by minibus, travel to the French region of Normandy for your D-Day landing beaches tour.

Stop at Pointe du Hoc, 90-foot (27-meter) cliffs where 225 rangers landed on the morning of June 6, 1944, and then continue to Colleville-sur-Mer to visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, which overlooks Omaha Beach and is home to more than 9,000 white crosses perfectly aligned on 170 acres. A chapel and memorial add the finishing touches to this moving site that allows visitors to reflect on the price of war.

Then visit other WWII locations such as Arromanches and the vestiges of the artificial Mulberry harbor, Longues-sur-Mer, and the German artillery battery, which gave the Allied troops a lot of pushback on the morning of June 6th. This is the only coastal battery to have kept its guns, giving a picture of what an Atlantic wall gun emplacement was like.

Before leaving Normandy, make a last stop at the Caen Peace Memorial, a place for reflecting on war in general and what WWII meant, and still means, to the people of France and around the world.

  • Great trip

  • We were a small tour of 8 people. The tour guide was such a nice man and very informative had a great knowledge of the history of the region.

  • A thoroughly moving experience! Van picked us up right on time at our hotel and delivered us back at the end of the day. Get a good night's sleep before the trip as its a long day with an early start. Time to snooze in the van on the way to and fro.

  • We went on this tour while in Paris for our honeymoon. The French countryside is gorgeous, the tour was phenomenal 5 stars! Our guide was the greatest. If you’re considering this or the larger bus tour, pay extra for this it’s far more intimate. I can’t say enough great things. Our guide was the best

  • Everythiing about the day was good. The beches and sights of Normandy were impressive and the visit made a strong impact on us. Ricardo, our guide, was superb, providing just enough information and keeping us on schedule withoug being invasive or domineering. He was knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Plus we had perfect weather!

  • With the overall caveat that this is a one day trip which could easily take several days, it was a wonderful experience and extremely moving. Seeing the German fortification atop Pointe du Hoc and the incredible climb up the cliffs that the US Army Rangers made was awe inspiring. Then all the planning that had to go into the invasion - false harbors, floating roads to unload equipment, supplies, etc. The American Cemetery just one of so many moved us tremendously as did the visit to Omaha Beach. Don't miss this trip!

  • Its a long day starting from Paris but thats just the way it is. Our tour guide Pascal was a little aloof at the beginning but seemed to warm up as the day went on. Maybe its a French thing? His English was excellent but with the accent you had to really listen. His knowledge of the events leading up to D Day was very good. Pont Du Hoc was very interesting, Omaha Beach was moving get some sand but the American Cemetery as an American was the best part of the trip. I truly wish we had another 30 minutes or so there.

  • This tour was terrific. It was a long day, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm but worth it. It is unfortuante that there isn't enough time to spend more time at each location but it couldn't be helped within the time frame of the tour. The tour guide, Fabrize, briefed us on the itinerary on the drive from Paris to Normandy. He kept on schedule. We were lucky that the people in our group respected the time frames and returned promptly so we could keep on time.
Each stop involved Fabrize providing information about the site and showing us around. Then we had free time to explore on our own.
This is one of the most moving experiences I've ever had. I will certainly go back and spend more time on my own.
Fabrize was wonderful. He's extremely knowlegable and was able to provide details and information as well as guidance on how to spend our free time.
He even kept the two plus hour drive to and from Paris interesting and informative.

  • We were expecting a little more history from our guide. Felt kind of rushed through everything.

  • excellent.Amazing trip. worth it
