Amazing night!! Picked up at our hotel and brought to a perfect spot to view the light show. Our guide was great fun! The northern lights were incredible!! I think we got lucky with the night we picked because our guide said it was one of the best light shows he had seen in a while. Seeing the northern lights has been a bucket list item of mine, and I'm so glad my daughter and I got to experience this together. I highly recommend this trip.

Amazing!I was a solo traveler in March 2023. The pick up/drop off location was less than a 5 minute walk from my hotel. The trip included hot chocolate while we waited. The driver, Hjortur was hilarious and kept us updated with the plans for the night. He seemed to enjoy his work! We made it to 2 stops and saw the lights at the second location! Hjortur posed us and took photos for us. I would recommend this trip to anyone!

Because of the un-predictability of the Northern lights we waited on booking, and when we heard the forecast was perfect for a sighting we called around 6pm day off to book. The less expensive tours were sold out already so we went with this. Thankfully the forecast was right and we got to see what the guide described as “the jackpot” of auroras! Con: it’s really a mini bus with 4WD, were ~20 seats on the “super jeep” so manage expectations if you’re thinking it would be more intimate. Pro: guide was funny, good driver and photographer! We had the best time.

We were taken out in the keep by Arno. He was the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable guy a real pleasure to have as our guide. He made it even more exciting with his natural enthusiasm. We were literally just in an area of no light pollution and he spotted something we pulled over and literally as soon as we got off the bus there she was. Aurora in all her glory. Great guide, great drink hot chocolate with Brennan and above all Aurora couldn’t recommend them enough particularly Arni

We were booked for the northern lights tour, but the trip was repeatedly canceled because of poor weather conditions. Arctic Adventures kept us fully informed of the situation and refunded our money with no problem. They were honest and transparent and didn't try to gouge us by taking us out anyway. I was impressed!

We booked the Big Jeep tour, but on the night it was a minibus that took us on the tour. The guide explained that the Jeep was broken but we would get a partial refund for the cost of the difference between the Jeep tour and minibus tour. However Viator are refusing to give a partial refund.

Although the clouds prevented us seeing the northern lights, we really enjoyed the guide and the super jeep. Unfortunately it rained almost every day we were in Iceland and the northen lights were not meant to be. I would do this tour again weather permitting!

We did indeed get to see the northern lights, a subtle but intriguing natural phenomenon. On a cold and windy night our driver delivered us to the field where there was a thin, faint glimmer of green in the sky around the edge of a cloud. The lights are best appreciated by the camera and keen photographer and despite the changing character of this viewing the next time the driver spoke with our group was on the way home to remind us to leave a review on trip advisor. Even when the hot sugar drink and alcohol was being served those less photographically inclined sheltering in the vehicle from the cold wind and information vacuum were ignored. It was a speccie “super” Jeep which would be useful in bad weather. On this occasion, a regular, less cramped coach with a friendly, engaged guide would have been better value and a more enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t pay top dollar to this company again.

On my first night in Iceland, I booked this tour. The forecast for the Northern Lights was very high that evening. The driver was not a very good guide and did not share much valuable insight into the Northern Lights during the tour. He drove to one location, where we sat for four hours in the cold without seeing much but a small streak of the Northern Lights. I understand the lights can't be controlled, but sitting in one location all evening was not the best chance to see the lights (and even if it was it was not the best way to experience them). I learned this for sure when I chose a different operator the following night and had an amazing experience. Even though the other operator took us to a location where the Lights were strong, we continued to find new and cool locations to see the lights the entire evening - they actually put effort into "hunting" the best views and different perspectives - which this tour did not do in any way. Don't book with these guys unless you want to sit in a cold, windy field all night and hope the lights show up... there are much better companies to book with in Iceland.

Highly recommend. Hjörtur, our tour guide was fantastic. He was funny, explained well what to expect. He found the lights in the first stop (he may have a sixth sense). We went to a second location and saw the lights again, more and better photos. Seeing the lights is not guaranteed but having a tour guide is really important. This is a great tour company. I’d do it again. Super Jeep was cool, much smaller than a bus, 19 people was a good size for this type of tour.
