Know More about this tour

One of Europe’s largest capital cities, Oslo also has one of the smallest populations, meaning its city streets are less busy with countless opportunities for urban outdoor activities. Cycling is one of the best ways to get around, and you’ll do just that on your 3-hour afternoon bike tour.
Meet your friendly guide in the center of town, close to the main shopping street of Karl Johan's gate, and after listening to a comprehensive safety briefing, you’ll be on your way.
See Oslo’s National Theatre and yellow-brick parliament building on Karl Johan's gate before pedaling along century -old alleyways and winding lanes. Following your attentive guide at a leisurely pace, cruise along the cycle paths that surround Oslofjord before exploring Aker Brygge -- a popular old shipyard that boasts captivating views of the harbor.
Visit beautiful Neoclassical neighborhoods, full of brightly painted 18th- and 19th-century houses, and stop for drinks (own expense) at Akershus Castle, where you can admire its Renaissance architecture. Glide past the Royal Palace, home of the Norwegian royal family, and see Oslo City Hall where the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place.
Frognerparken is a must-see while in Oslo, so you’ll enjoy a break here to explore this stunning park independently. Amble around the incredible open-air exhibition of bronze and granite sculptures by Norway’s much-acclaimed sculptor, Gustav Vigeland, or simply relax on the tranquil lawns.
After three hours of leisurely cycling, your guide will lead you back to your start point, where your tour ends.

  • This is without doubt the best way to see the sights of Oslo or any other city in fact. Our guide Patrick from Viking Biking was great and even in the pouring rain we had a truly memorable day.

  • We had not been on a cycle for 40 years so were a little apprehensive. Didn't need to worry, the guys in charge of the trip were excellent. Found us suitable bikes. Would suggest if you havn't been on a bike for a while you arrive 15 early so you can practise before the off. We saw places close up that we would not have seen. Thought it was an excellect tour. Really worth the price.

  • Fantastic guide taking us along all the interesting bits. Saw parts we would not otherwise have done . Oslo looked great in the sun

  • Our family of 4 mom, dad, 2 daughters 16 and 20 thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon of biking with our funny, nice guide,he's originally from Florida! We went on the first day, of a 2 week stay in Oslo, hoping to get a good feel for the neighborhoods, recommendations for dining and places to visit, and the ones to skip. We got all that and so much more!!. It really was fun and interesting. My 16 year old learned a lot of history without any pain Gave more value to the rest of the trip. My older one learned about the wonderful basically free masters degree programs at the University. We may be going back for that! Well spent afternoon. Wear one of the bike helmets with the viking horns- they make fabulous pictures!

  • Thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Shaffik. He was very knowledgeable about the main sights we saw in Oslo and it was a good way to get an initial overview of the city. The cycling wasn't strenuous and would be suitable for all abilities.

  • Everyone at the shop was super nice and helpful getting us organized with bikes and helmets. Nick was clearly passionate about Norway, being Norwegian, sharing his wealth of historical and cultural knowledge, and sharing lots of locals-only information. He also kept us informed where we would be headed after each stop and what we would be learning about next. My only suggestion would be to perhaps avoid the Astrup Museum area on busy days. Navigating the hordes of tourists was like a stressful game of frogger!

  • We experienced increasing drenching rain - but we powered through it Norwegian style. There is no such thing as poor weather, just poorly dressed people. Olaf the First 1682.

  • Excellent tour. I highly recommend it!

  • Great guide! Super friendly and very informative on the history of OSLO. I would def. recommend doing this Tour to anyone young and old! Very easy ride around the city and lots of good sites that you get to see. I got great pictures on this tour, and the guide let us stop and take pictures/ gaze at the beauty of the city. It was a great experience and I am glad I did this tour!
