Know More about this tour

Enjoy the very best of Victorias wildlife, nature and farming heritage. The Penguin Parade is an absolute must on every visitors itinerary, but this tour gives you so much more.

After departing Melbourne, your first stop is Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park where you can hand-feed cute wallabies on the Wallaby Walk (you may see little joeys peeking out of their mothers pouches) or have the opportunity to get a photo taken with a koala. There are rare sightings of endangered Australian wildlife in this Eco-accredited sanctuary too.

Next, you'll see sheep shearing and working dogs in action at the historic farm on neighboring Churchill Island before visiting the Koala Conservation Centre (watch out for koalas napping in the fork of a tree).

Visit Phillip Island's dramatic Cape Woolamai surf beach and enjoy a stroll along the Nobbies boardwalk with views of the rugged coastline. Finally, the ultimate attraction: as dusk falls hundreds of Little Penguins popping out of the sea and waddling across the beach to their sand dune burrows in the Penguin Parade.

Enhance your penguin-viewing experience with an upgrade to the Penguin Plus option to have a better view of the penguins from the comfort of an exclusive viewing area with private boardwalk.

Your driver will return you to Melbourne at the end of your trip.

  • The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly.

  • I highly recommend this tour for the sights. The penguin parade and stop at Moonlit Sanctuary were fantastic! Got to cuddle up to a koala, hand-feed kangaroos, and see hundreds of penguins as they dash back to Phillip Island after a day in the ocean bring a sweater and blanket or you'll have to buy those on sight - it gets chilly. Truly a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience. Our guide Max did not provide much commentary throughout the trip which was a letdown. He merely carried out a side conversation with one of the tour takers, but did so very loudly which made it difficult to try and sleep especially on the way back from Penguin Island at close to midnight. It would have been nice to be provided with more information and guidance as opposed to just being driven from place to place.

  • Absolutely amazing. Probably the best day of our entire 3 week holiday. It's a long day with a very late drop-off but fortunately not an early start. We love wildlife and scenery and there was plenty of both. Moonlit Sanctuary was terrific and we actually got to cuddle a koala! The Penguin Parade on Phillip Island was mind-blowing. Seeing those little penguins come out of the sea, cross the rocks and then make their way at varying speeds to find their burrows up to 2 km away. It was a privilege to watch these determined creatures. Our guide Kurt was terrific, informative, helpful, very calm and good fun. A day which will live in our memories.

  • The tour was great, was able to see a large amount of wild life and local sites, the highlight of our trip. The tour guide was awesome, she made sure we were on time and had a good amount of time to spend at each site.
The down side was the lack of Wifi on the bus, our other tour had it and it made it over the top.
Well worth the money. Highlights: Watching the Penguin Parade, hand feeding the Kangaroos, seeing the sleeping koala's, the heritage farm, and Aimee's amazing conservation details, she is passionate about preserving wildlife and making sure they are protected for the long haul.

  • I didn't know much about Moonlit Sanctuaty but it turned out the be one of the highlights of our trip in Melbourne! And don't be afraid when you didn't get a front seat for penguin watching. The little guys will soon walk around the whole area so everybody will get a good chance to see them closely!

  • This trip was really good. The only thing I didn't like was calling it a small group. A small group I would expect to be under 20 this was for 27. However the guide was great and the locations we visited amazing. The penguin parade was really good would recommend upgrading to the penguin plus so you can see the penguins coming out the sea.

  • Enjoyed the trip especially the penguin parade. Tour guide is responsible and take care of everything.

  • The sites visited during this tour are top quality and I would recommend all of them. The Phillip Island Penguin Parade is of course the highlight, but I found the farm to be an excellent stop on the tour as well, it was extremely well time budgeted and we were able to see everything we expected without feeling rushed. We even were able to see a lamb being born! I have two complaints that make this a 4 star instead of a 5 star tour: The time at the moonlit sanctuary was very rushed, and we were not well informed of our options. We had been in Australia for 3 weeks now, and had already held a koala but the koala encounter was the only one advertised. We would have loooved to have done the dingo encounter, which is unique and no where had we been had we seen such a thing offered, but it was right at lunch time and we were not told of its existence until after we ate lunch. We would have gladly deferred lunch by 15 minutes to do the dingo encounter! So that was disappointing. The other complaint is that the food place we were taken to on Phillip Island was terrible, not the food itself, but the way the establishment was run, it was like they had never seen that level of people buying food there before although I am sure it is a daily occurrence. It was expensive, disorganized, and very much a disappointment although it did not ruin the greatness of the rest of the tour, only detracted slightly. The koala sanctuary was nice as well, but we had seen better on Kangaroo Island. If we had not been there previously, we would have been more impressed.

  • My family and I enjoyed the Penguins tour with stop at moonlit sanctuary. It was packed with fun-filled activities such as penguin spotting at The Nobbies, tea picnic at Churchill farm and board-walking at the Koala conservation centre. Moonlit sanctuary and seeing the fairy penguins were a bonus.

  • The entire day was about animals! Saw my favourite wombat, fed a LOT of wallabies and kangaroos, and enjoyed the grand finale of watching hundreds of little penguins returning home from work! If all you want is to get close to Aussie animals, perhaps even to cuddle and feed them, this is the tour for you
