Following is a typical itinerary that is planned for our Pompeii tour from Rome.
Our first stop of the tour will be the Pompeii Archaeological Park. Wander the fully-preserved streets of Pompeii on a guided tour. This thriving port town was frozen in time when it was engulfed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. View the death casts of people caught in the eruption and peek into shops, temples, public baths, and maybe even a brothel (if suitable for the group).
Duration: 2 hours
Our next stop will be the cliffside beautiful village of Positano. Following in the footsteps of literary greats like Shelley, Goethe, and Steinbeck, you will be free to explore this little town on foot, sampling its incredible seafood, browsing the fashionable boutiques, or ordering bespoke, handmade sandals.
Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
After Pompeii, it is time to get back into the bus for one of the most unforgettable drives of your life down the hairpin turns and panoramic vistas of the Amalfi coast. It won’t take long for you to see why this is considered Italy's most scenic drive (although certainly not the easiest to navigate - you will be glad you have a driver!).
