Know More about this tour

Here is the basic itinerary for this Small Group Florence tour -

Your tour will start as you skip the line at the Accademia gallery to see Michelangelo's David, as well as his partially-finished Slaves, for insight into how he turned jagged rock into the beautiful, lifelike figures of his sculptures. You will also hear stories of Leonardo Da Vinci and the powerful Medici family, whose patronage made Florence one of the hotbeds of the Renaissance art world.

Next, head to another stone structure that changed world history - Florence Duomo. As you admire the Dome from outside, you will hear the story of how its architect Brunelleschi recovered lost knowledge and expanded the realm of what was deemed humanly possible all in his pursuit of building it.

After The duomo, take to the streets to see more of Florence's landmarks, including the Palazzo vecchio, the statues of the Orsanmichele church, the Piazza della repubblica and Piazza della signoria, the Porcellino pig (rub his nose for good luck!) and of course, Italy's most picturesque bridge, the Ponte vecchio.

As you walk, the sites will come to life with the stories told by your English speaking guide. In an intimate group of 15 people or fewer, you will have plenty of time to ask questions and learn about the incredible history of this city from the ground up.

Alma was the most amazing guide - we now know so much more about the history of Florence. I cannot recommend highly enough - the walking tour took us through the heart of Florence and we had express entry to the Academia and Doumo. The queues for normal entry were very very long despite it being November so absolutely worth the cost

The tour was fantastic. What makes it so spectacular are your tour guides. Forgive me as I don't remember the tour guides name, but he was brilliant. Not only does he provide a thorough history, but a great story teller as well! An awesome experience.

The tour was fun and engaging. Greta was wonderful and engaging. She provided information on the city, the Duomo, the Academia and Ponte Vecchio. The group was a good size not too big and not too small. It is the perfect starter tour for your stay in Florence.

Elena (Helen) was our tour guide and she was wonderful! Her English was good. It was a small group and everything about the tour was interesting. We loved the Acadamia and the explanations especially about Michelangelo's David.

Larissa and Francesca were the best! We got very confused about where to be at what time and these two lovely ladies helped us figure everything out with a smile! Thank you Also, tour guide Eduardo was wonderfully informative!

We went on this tour in late October and even then there was a lot of activity and wait lines all around the city. I highly recommend this tour as a means to save yourself time and also there was so much information given to us as well. We were given headphones that plug into a receiver so that you can hear the guide, my only tip would be to bring your own headphones with an aux plug if you have a preference of headphone. Our guide, Greta, was so knowledgeable about the art and her passion for it was very evident in all her explanations. We visited the museum and saw the famous sculptures, but having Greta explain the stories of history around what we were looking at made the experience one I won’t soon forget. Outside of the museum, we also took a tour of the city, the baptistery, and Duomo. I highly recommend this tour for anyone planning to go to Florence and if you’re lucky Greta will be your guide as well!
