Overview

During the Tour you will have the privilege to explore the private country house of the Llopart family, inherited by Bernardus Leopardi in the XIV Century. In this lovely place will take place the olive oil tasting. For the next part of the visit, there will be a tour of both the old and the modern winery where you will learn the elaboration and aging of the sparkling wines from this prestigious Catalan winery. We will get into the small cellar in the house basement where, in 1887, the first bottle of Llopart cava was created. In this charming old winery you will experience a trip to the past. The experience will continue by visiting one of their oldest vineyards: La vinya de Paulino with vines that are more than 75 years old. Once we get to their ExVite tasting room, you will have the chance to enjoy two more tastings: one glass of wine and one more glass of cava, this time Gran Reserva type. These drinks will be served with a brunch of local products .

This was a real nice day. The tour was good and so was the wine, cava and brunch. The owner came out and met us after which was a nice touch.

The ride from the city was about 45 minutes to a very gorgeous vineyard. The host met us immediately and sat us down for a glass of sparkling rosé. It was very informative and we even got to taste some of the grapes. If you are interested in tasting a lot of wines, this is not the tour for you. We tasted 3 with a long time in between tasting the first and the last two. The brunch was very light but all that we really needed

Nice ride from Barcelona to vineyard. It was a quick overview of Cava with their long history in Europe. Was travelling with my parents in their 70s and they also had a great time. Had some iberico, cheese, and chocolate at the end to go with a few wines for tasting. Bought 5 boxes to ship back home and you know how much I enjoyed the fine quality of their offering.

Highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money. Our tour guide was really friendly and informative. It was my birthday when we visited the Llopart winery and our guide made me feel really special. The lunch was Iberian ham, breads and Spanish cheese. We tasted two Cavas and one white wine. We had several glasses of each! The winery is about 40 minutes by bus from Barcelona city centre.

Loved the views and the house but the wine wasn’t great. Also, no red wine to sample. The oils( only 3 samples) was a complete bust.

Loved this tour, great wine and tapas. Tour guides at both places (wine and cava) were very knowledgeable and learned a lot. The atmosphere and scenery were so relaxing and beautiful, great day trip away from the city.

Small group size was amazing and the Cava part of the trip felt a little more personal. Otherwise, it's a bus trip to two wineries. The first is Torres - it's the epitome of corporate wine. Second winery is Llopart which feels a little more personal...until you emerge into a massive tasting room

Beautiful wineries and great tour. One of my favorite days!!

  • 28-May-2017

This was an amazing tour. The bus guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Both wineries were amazing and very different from each other. The amount of food was great, plenty for everyone and lots of wine to sample. They gave you a good pour of wine not just a little sip.
It was a full day and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Learned so much from both the great guides at the wineries. I would highly recommend this tour to the wine lovers. The only thing was it was advertised as three wineries and we only went to two but there so much to see at both that it didn't bother me.

Lots of fun on this wine tasting tour. We were in a group of eight fun people from the USA, Australia, and New Zealand. The Codorniu Cava tour was a favorite. A great way to spend a very hot day in June in Catalonia.
