Wonderful trip although long. Guide kept us well entertained. Would hate to have to mow the lawn. Or dust inside the castle.

Jed was an excellent guide. I could live in the village of Bampton. The highlight was seeing Highclere because I've waited years to tour it. I am so happy to check this off my bucket list.

This was one of the highlight tours of my trip! Although the drive is long, you are able to stop half way at a huge rest area that was more like a mall! It had clean restrooms and a food court with a variety of foods. You can pick up a sandwich and chips there or wait and grab something at the cafe in Downton. Our visit was very rainy so we weren’t able to visit the grounds as much, making the shelter from the rain in the cafe nice. What to expect: Leave on the bus, stop at rest area, tour the city of Brampton for ab an hour. The tour guide did a great job showing us where different scenes were filmed and how they transformed buildings, light posts, signs, benches, etc. After that we journeyed on to Highclere. The line was relatively short to tour the castle. I would definitely get in line for that first and then explore the remainder of cool things afterwards. Again, even with the rain this was one of my favorite tours of our trip!

Tour guide Richard and driver Greg made the day special. Richard’s behind the scenes stories of the production were funny and interesting. The tour was everything I’d hoped it would be. The house was spectacular, the grounds were lovely—even the pastie and Prosecco were good.

It was quite a thrill to see Highclere castle in person!! We loved the tour and our tour guide and driver. Richard was so terrific and has extensive knowledge of the film industry. We saw some key sights in the town and seeing the castle was terrific! Highly recommend this tour!!

I loved getting to see scenes from the show and shown exactly where they were filmed. It was so interesting hearing how they hid modern elements of the town they were filming in to make it more historically accurate. Highclere Castle itself doesn’t allow photographs inside, but you can take plenty on the expansive surrounding grounds. There was so much to explore.

The trip met all my expectations. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Wonderful experience.

Our guide, Richard, aka Ron Weasley, made this a fun experience. He was engaging and very knowledgeable about Downton Abbey. The village visit was delightful. Richard had anecdotes from when he was on the production crew. Highclere Castle was like stepping into the movie set, and the volunteers were helpful. We had time for lunch and touring the gardens, which were magnificent. Great trip.

Actually being in the rooms I have watched for so many years. Tour guide and bus driver were exceptional.

Fabulous!! Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable, giving info on both Downton and the Canarvan family. Highclere wa just as hoped for…..you really felt the essence of the show there. And Bampton village was very quaint. A must if you’re a Downton Abbey fan!
