  • The sites were beautiful. The guide and the driver were true professionals. The guide in Florence,Giovanni, was a gem, extremely knowledgeable and perfect in his English.

  • Andrew was an excellent guided. Truly amazing. Very patient when I asked questions about everything. The trip is a little long, but overall worth it. We ran into some traffic on the way back, and Andrew and the driver found an alternate route so we wouldn't have to wait on the highway. :)

  • Really enjoyed this one-day getaway! Small tour format was more personal. Our guide and driver were the best and the driver managed to pull off some special needs for this pair of older travelers. Long day, but so glad we did it. Wished we had more time days in Florence but no time to do so. If you are short on time, this is a good one to consider.

  • A fabulous trip !

  • Enjoyed the countryside and the company - wonderful experience

  • I wish I could give it more stars.
The greatest gripe is that the walking tour in Florence was so hurried. We initially had to wait 30 minutes for the local guide to arrive during the walk we literally had to beg her to stop to have a Gelato. The 'guide' who accompanied us could have done better in managing the time. Pisa was awesome and thought the time was short, it was ok. There is no time to go up the Pisa tower.
The 'guide' was not really a guide - just an English speaking person who accompanied us on the trip.

I would recommend this trip for those who are short on time but be prepared to be rushed through.

  • We are a family of 5 with children age 16, 13 and 11. We stayed at Rome for 5 full days not counting the day of arrival and departure. This tour gives a quick overview with important highlights but it was too short to enjoy the beauty of the city, which is expected given this is a day trip.
They picked us up at our hotel promptly at 7am with a minivan just for our family, which is nice.

Our tour guide was helpful with tips on what to do/eat in Rome and Florence and was very helpful and patience with questions we asked.

However, compared to other tours we did this trip, she did not give us much tour/information while we were at Pisa. She basically got us tickets to the Dome and we were on our own. Little explanation done and she waited outside for us. This tour does NOT include ticket going up to the tower, nor were we given the time and opportunity. The cathedral was closed.

We then head to Florence for lunch and joined the rest of the group for a 2 hrs walking tour in Florence with a different tour guide. There were over 10 of us. This tour had NO headphones. It was very difficult to hear what he said unless you were walking close to him. While we were walking around Florence, we did not know when he is sharing relevant information about various landmarks or just having a casual conversation with the person next to him. In other tour I joined, their tour guide would be explaining what we see along the way via headset we wore.
With the money paid, I would expect it to be a little better.

  • We totally loved this tour and Dora and Giovanni were great!! The information that they shared was amazing and the day was so well structured!

  • Beautiful cites and wonderful tours. Highly recommended.

  • This was a good trip, but the tour guide in Pisa was just not knowledgeable or maybe he did not want to speak to us much. Efforts must be made by the tour guide to tell us about the history etc. This trip we lucked out that it was just us three people. As we were only three and we were all together, so the guide was just hurrying us up to go home.

I think when you pay for something in advance, the result should be good. It did not feel good with Viator.
