Know More about this tour

Meet your guide and driver in the morning at 9AM at StrommaShop, in front of central station Amsterdam.
Prins Hendrikkade 47,A comfortable, air-conditioned luxurious minivan will take you to todays destination in about 75 minutes. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the dutch flat landscape.

A visit to Kinderdijk gives you the extraordinary opportunity to visit a UNESCO World Heritage in Holland. In 1997, the windmill complex of Kinderdijk was added to the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage list because of its unique character. UNESCO considers the polder area with its dykes, mills and pumping stations to be proof of human inventiveness in reclaiming and protecting the land. This is worldwide recognition of the fact that this unique area must be preserved for the future.

At arrival in Kinderdijk your personal guide will take you to the visitors centre, situated in an old pumping station. Watch the film about the Kinderdijk area before walking through the area. If possible, you will visit a working windmill from the inside (depending on how busy it is).

After a 90 minute visit get back aboard the minivan to continue to The Hague. In addition to being the seat of the Dutch government, this city is also the home of the Dutch royal family and the third largest city in the country. The Hague is where most foreign embassies in the Netherlands are located, as well as 150 international organizations, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. It is also the home of the Peace Palace, a number of royal palaces, the Mauritshuis, and the Binnenhof (the dutch parliament).

At arrival in The Hague you will do a citytour in the minivan to see all these highlights and a stop will be made for lunch before enjoying freetime at the Mauritshuis; home to the best Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. Discover masterpieces such as Vermeers Girl with a Pearl earring and painting of the famous Rembrandt van Rijn.

  • Great small group tour to Kinderdijk and The Hague. Our group was very small, just the two of us, as we were the only ones signed up for that day. So we received a very personal and personalized tour for the small group price. Thank you. Greatly enjoyed the visit to Kinderdijk on a nice day for Amsterdam area to walk around the area. Also enjoyed our visit to The Hague.

  • Excellent tour if you want to see and photograph windmills. Kinderdijk is a wonderful world heritage sight- pay the extra 5 euros for the hop on/ hop off boat ride along the canal. Touring The Hague was interesting and visiting the Mauritshuis to see Vermeer's 'Girl with the Pearl Earring' was brilliant. Overall, a wonderful day tour out of Amsterdam. Bram was an excellent driver and commentator.

  • Amazing tour, our guide was very knowledgeable of the recent and not so recent history of Amsterdam, The Hague, Kinderdijk and Rottenburg. We enjoyed his friendly personality and considerate nature. We also made a short stop to view the making of Delft Blue pottery which was very enjoyable. Our tour of Mauritshuis to view the Girl with a Pearl Earring was a dream come true. I highly recommend this tour out into the beautiful countryside.

  • This excursion was well worth it. Our guide, Bram was excellent. Our group in May was only 5 people. The windmills were incredible. Don't miss the explanatory interactive film at the visitors center. Walk over to the windmills and walk as far as you can given the time allotment. The Mauritshuis was bigger than I thought and very beautiful, we also had access to a special exhibit. We had time to walk around the government center. I recommend bringing snacks for the trip. We would not have had enough time for a restaurant lunch at the square in The Hague. We were able to sit and enjoy our own food. Bram drove us to the Madurodam but no time to enter and then thru a beach town nearby Scheveningen and then drove us back to the Damrak
