Great trip with Devon as our guide. Plenty of very scenic viewpoints, good commentary and enough stops for snacks and bathroom. A full day but worth it.

Bus Travel Iceland has abusive, vulgar and racist bus drivers who will make sure you have a horrible experience. The following is the experience we had with this company a couple of days ago. We booked a trip to Snaefellsnes peninsula on a Monday. Around 9 AM, we were waiting for the driver at our pickup point (City hall). There were many other tourists waiting there with us. The van driver arrived in a pickup van and took out a sheet full of names. He started reading out the full names of the travelers who booked the experience. We booked the trip on one of our names. As soon as our name arrived, he conveniently omitted a part of our name, skipped some letters from another part of our name and called us by the Spanish swearword "p**a". The way he pronounced it was exactly as you pronounce that Spanish swearword. That word does not exist in English or Icelandic. So he very well knew what he was doing. But he played dumb. As soon as he called us out "p**a", there were some Mexican travelers behind us who laughed out loud. We got into the pick up van. I was not happy, but gave him the benefit of doubt and did not say anything. Then we went to some place which was 10 min away from the City hall, where we were supposed to get into another vehicle. There were many drivers in that place and it looked very chaotic and haphazard. Our driver read out the names again and he called us out as "p*ta" again. He made sure that his friends (the other drivers) heard it, who then giggled at his cheap joke. We were about to leave his van, so I let this one also go. As we got down the van and were going to the bus assigned to us, he began repeatedly shouting at us "p**a p**a p**a..." like a maniac making some gestures showing us where to go. At this point, there was no doubt that he was abusing us. Of course, he was acting dumb and probably did not expect us to know Spanish (as we were Asians). Now he crossed a limit and I was visibly pissed. I confronted him and told him that her name is not that and told him how to call us. He was taken aback and understood that I saw through his act. He behaved awkwardly for a while, gave a nervous smile, and acted dumb again. We lived in the Nordics for 10 years, travelled to many countries, but never saw this kind of vulgar behavior anywhere. It is shocking to be around such drivers and tour guides, given that we paid a decent amount money to a supposedly reputable tour company for a special experience. We will never use Bus Travel Iceland again and hope that at least some of you move away from this company and instead encourage small companies that actually hire good drivers and tour guides.

Lovely tour! We got lucky the weather was perfect on this day. It was sunny and breezy. The sights were all amazing! We even saw some seals by the beach. I forgot our tour guide's name, and I forgot his initials. But we did this small group tour on July 10, 2023 (Monday). He was great!

We had an amazing time on our tour. Siggi was a phenomenal tour guide. His personality and humor along side his knowledge of Iceland is unmatched. There was never a dull moment and we were eager to learn more and explore the beautiful country. The tour was more than just site seeing. We learned a lot about the culture, history, music, sagas and more. Thank you Siggi. - Colin
