This tour was the highlight of our trip to Cartagena. Jose was bilingual (Spanish and English). Jose arrived at our hotel on time (which you know is not the norm with tours) he took the time to describe the days agenda. He took care to ensure we were not over charged by vendors. The snorkeling was awesome, great water visibility allowed us to see many colorful fish. The relaxing time on the islands was lovely. The party island was nice as well. Lunch was served at our last island and was good. I read mixed reviews before booking and I am very glad I booked. If you are undecided I say book you will not be disappointed!

Daniel was so amazing. The tour was fun, lots of history and the snorkeling was so beautiful. The music on the boat was fabulous and Daniel was so attentive to everyone. Everyone on the tour and the islands was so great and the food was amazing. I would absolutely recommend Backpackers and hopefully you get Daniel as your tour guide!

BECAREFUL AND DO NOT TRUST THE CREW EVEN WHEN THEY CALL YOU FAMILY!! We stopped at the disgusting party island and was told by Daniel to leave our belongings on the boat, first time that was said on this trip even though this was our 2nd to the last stop. I took everything and left our towels and my brand new trucker hat snapped on a line in the boat. When we returned the hat was gone. I asked the driver of the boat and he said it flew off. I told him trucker hats don't just get unsnapped and your boat was just 50 yards from shore. Daniel asked him and he said he didn't know anything about the hat so story changed. I confronted him when we were getting off the last island and I could tell he knew by his demeanor. After getting back on I decided to let it go, it's a stupid hat. My concern is that if they were willing to do this, what else would they steal from other customers? Most people don't write reviews so how often does this actually happen and not reported? From recent reviews, there is a trend happening here that needs to be addressed. Nobody keeps track of their cash when on vacation which makes tourist an easy target. We spent part of our vacation in Bogata and Medellin and they all advised us to be careful in Cartagena. I thought it was just a city pride. I guess not. It's too bad this incident is now part of our memory of what was a great trip to Colombia.
