Overview

Explore the streets of Bangalore, now known as Bengaluru, by bike on a half-day bicycle expedition that begins early in the morning. Make the best of the empty streets as you pedal your way to Lalbagh, the central garden of Bangalore, to watch the sunrise. Then stop for breakfast (own expense) at the legendary Mtr restaurant before continuing your ride to three temples in the neighborhood.

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and driven to the starting point of the biking expedition where you will meet your guide. Put on your helmet and get familiar with your bike before you start the tour. Then simply follow your guide as he takes you through deserted streets to the largest public garden in Bangalore, Lalbagh. Catch a glimpse of the morning sun as it rises above the trees.
Then continue riding your bike to MTR, the most famous restaurant in Bangalore that has been in the business since 1924. Take some breakfast (own expense) and wash it down with a cup of coffee just like the locals.
After breakfast, cycle through the early morning clamor past fragrant lanes of crisp blossoms and go to Ragigudda Temple. The temple is dedicated to the monkey God Hanuman.
Then cycle to the 16th century Cave Temple of Gavi Gangadeshwara. The temple is famous for its mysterious stone discs and the architectural marvel which lets the sun to shine on the main shrine at a certain time of the year.
Next visit the 16th century Bull Temple, a major landmark of Bangalore. The temple is famous for the statue of the sacred bull, Nandi, that is the biggest in the world. Legend has it that a bull used to ravage the crops and was beaten up by a villager after which it turned into a statue. The statue kept growing in size and the villagers worshipped to Lord Shiva to calm down the bull. A temple was then constructed on that site.
Finish your expedition by tasting some mouth watering local delicacies (own expense) at the popular "Food Street". The lively street has some great food shops offering local South Indian foods like dosas (savory rice crepe) and idlis (rice dumplings) as well as popular street foods from other parts of India. Once your tour will be finished you will be driven back to fixed point / your hotel.

A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops are allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women.

Children (any person below the age of 18 years) can join the tour if they have strong cycling skills and have a minimum height of 4.3 feet. Parents will be responsible for signing the Indemnity Form at the time of the tour on behalf of the child. By signing this document, the parent participant agrees to take full individual responsibility for any kind of incident which may occur during the tour.

To take part in the tour one needs to have good cycling skills and a general level of physical fitness. If there is any doubt about your cycling skills, the guide is authorized to cancel your tour participation. The paid tour amount will not be refunded in case of being refused on the tour due to poor cycling skills.

All passenger heights and weights must be advised at time of booking.

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
