Great tour! This tour gives you a great overview of South Iceland. You will not have much time in each location but you will get to see several different highlights of South Iceland. The waterfalls are amazing and the black sand beach is stunning. I was worried that the lava show would be geared towards kids but it was informative and interesting for all ages. I highly recommend it. There is a restaurant at the lava show with soups and sandwiches and hot drinks. I am vegan and there was a delicious vegan soup. You will have plenty of time to eat after the show. Be prepared for a long ride in a tightly seated mini bus but it was worth it for us to not deal with driving or renting a car. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour.
Really good tour, the guide was excellent, took photos, for us what highly recommend this small tour, as it felt personal, and not too many people on the tour
This tour was just incredible from start to finish. Simon, our guide/driver was informative, knowledgeable and excellent. Iceland's scenery is amazing and this tour to the South Coast certainly hits all the spots, especially with Simon's hidden extras with outstanding panoramic views, and the extended walk to the very edge of the glacier. There was an overwhelming feeling of "the customer matters" throughout helping us all to get the best out of the full day. (Finishing at 9pm) Thoroughly recommended
We had read that the Hidden Iceland tours were first class and we were not disappointed. From pick up to drop off at the end of the day, our guide Alti gave us the very best day, with the most beautiful sights and the stunning weather, which he had personally arranged ;) The small group size was great, with Atli keeping us informed and entertained all day… so much knowledge! And the sights (did I say?) - stunning! Atli gave us freedom to explore but kept us really safe, had impeccable timing with a laid back approach, and a great sense of humour. You won’t be disappointed.
My parents and I have a wonderful day, Our tour guide was called atil, he was very good had lots of information about everything we saw loved when people asked questions, all the places we visited were lovely Atil was very good at making sure we was safe when the weather got windy on the beach and took us down the the glacier and made sure we got as close as we could which was lovely. If its a windy day make sure you wear warm clothing! The lava show was very interesting and you can have soup there which is delicious. The van was nice to travel in comfy. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
Alti was everything I could want in a guide even when some of the party was tired and emotionless he didn’t let that dilute the experience and personality he really brought life and such an authentic feel to being in this beautiful country
We were picked up right on time in a wonderful Mercedes minibus. It was a small group and our tour guide made an effort to make everyone feel like family. Our tour guide was born and raised in Iceland and was full of insider knowledge. I really can't say enough nice things about him. He also made an effort to take us places that were off the beaten path. At the beginning of our tour we saw massive buses everywhere. As the tour progressed our tour guide separated us from the masses and made it feel like we were on our own special adventure. Book this tour if you can. I know you'll be blown away by the entire experience.
Wow what a wonderful tour! Simon was great and took us to a few extra places we would never have known about! I loved the small group experience.
Hidden Iceland planned the perfect itinerary for us and executed without a hitch. It was more than we could have asked for. Our tour guide, Simon, was amazing. I highly recommend them!!
This tour was a great overview of Iceland’s South Coast. We were lucky enough to have sunshine when we visited waterfalls, a black sand beach, and a glacier. The Lava Show in Vik is not to be missed. Our guide, Holly, is knowledgeable and friendly, a true asset to Hidden Iceland.
