Pass through Le Morne, La Prairie and Macond before curving back into the mountains to the picturesque village of Chamarel.

Visit Chamarel Waterfall, the tallest waterfall in Mauritius that plunges more than 328 feet (100 meters) against a scenic backdrop of forests and mountains. Continue to the Seven Coloured Earth, a striking geological formation created by volcanic rocks that cooled at different temperatures. Admire the exposed hillsides glowing with red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow colors.

Next, head to La Rhumerie de Chamarel distillery to sample local rum. Follow your tasting with a delicious, traditional 3-course lunch served with Chamarel coffee and water at a local restaurant.

After lunch, continue up to a high plateau and reach a viewpoint over Black River Gorges National Park. Listen as your guide points out the variety of flora and fauna thriving below.

In the district of Savanne, visit the secluded Grand Bassin lake, an important place of worship for Mauritian Hindus. The art of ship modeling was brought to Mauritius by various sailors who visited this island. Le Ports eye for detail and quality has many customers visiting them from around the world. • The key touristic attractions of Mauritius in a well organised and professionally run tour. Very good vehicle, professional driver and guide. Recommended.

  • Excellent day out which we enjoyed very much. It was a full day but worth seeing other parts of the island. Natalie our guide was very knowledgeable and we were a small group. The driver was also very good. I booked the trip the day before on my iPhone via the app and everything went smoothly.
Lunch was good and included in the price.
I would recommend this trip but remember to take mosquito repellent with you to the Waterfall. This is the only place of the whole week I was bitten!

  • Very good experience! The gude was well prepared and patient. She gave us interesting information about Mauritius: people, religion, history and everyday life.

  • Great tour and made all the better with the wonderful tour guide Melissa

  • A fully packed tour of the Southwest of Mauritius. Much to see and on offer in this day trip. It has Hotel pick up and drop off with many highlights including the Rum Factory and included lunch in Chamarel. Good value and well worth doing.

  • The tour was quite fast paced due to the amount of places that we had to visit. Nice experience and lovely tour guide who explained us every little bit of the route, the history of Mauritius as well as about the different sightseeings that we visited.
    Definatelly worth it

The only thing that I would change is the food.

  • A great way to see the main sites of Mauritius!! Our tour guide Melissa, was very informative and she had a very friendly manner. We got the opportunity to stop off at each site, take pictures, admire our surroundings and take in the experience. We stopped off for a lovely lunch which was included in the tour cost, thereafter a rum tasting followed. It was an exceptionally hot day, so we would've liked to have been provided with some water in the minibus, as we were travelling for a long time and the aircon in the minibus was not very strong. Our resort was in the north and the journey back from south to north is rather long, so it would've been nice if our tour guide had given us warning about the length of the distance back and given us the option of buying some food and drink to sustain us for the long ride back.

  • Good food. Nice trip. The english speaking guide was very nice and made everybody feel soo very comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable trip

  • A highly recommended and value for money tour.

  • Excellent guide, very knowledgeable, we went all over the island, had an amazing lunch and delish rum tasting - one of the highlights. Great lookout points, we were never rushed. We learned a lot of history and saw a lot. Only negative point is they take you to a clothing/ship-making factory to get you to try and buy the local products, although it was interesting, it was not listed. We still got to see everything else listed and it was amazing! :
