Know More about this tour

After being picked up by minivan at the Brisbane Transit Centre, settle in for a lovely drive through the Numinbah Valley, passing excellent views of Tamborine Mountain on your way to Springbrook National Park.

When you arrive in Springbrook National Park, located about 62 miles (100 km) south of Brisbane, embark on a guided hike to explore the unique landscape, where more than 1,700 species of flowering plants and 500 vertebrate animals can be found in the sheltered gorges of the Springbrook plateau.

The park also features some impressive waterfalls, one of which you can see at Natural Bridge. The arched rock sets a dramatic scene for the Cave Creek waterfall as it plunges into a pool below. During your stroll in the area, be on the lookout for pademelons (similar to wallabies), goannas, Australian water dragons and Australian brush-turkeys.
After, enjoy free time for a gallery stroll through one of Queenslands best arts and craft districts. Then stop at Cedar Creek Estate Winery for a restaurant lunch overlooking the vineyards and Duck Lake (choice of main course with tea and coffee).

In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves at Cedar Creek, consisting of two large chambers interlinked by tunnels. See an audio-visual display on glow worms, whose brilliant blue-green lights are actually emitted by the tiny larvae of a fungus fly. Step inside the second cave filled with thousands of glowing worms!
Finish the day with a rainforest walk to Curtis Falls, situated along a 1-mile (1.6-km) moderate path with 101 steps. Amble downhill beneath towering gum trees to the viewing platform over Curtis Creek, then descend gradually into lush rainforest to a second platform overlooking a waterfall that cascades into a large rock pool.
After a 50-minute drive back to Brisbane, you're dropped off at your original departure point.

  • The sceneries were awesome!! Loved the glow worm cave: It would be perfect if the coach could speak up or wear microphone, cause it was difficult to listen from the back.

  • This tour is a fairly short tour that first goes to Springbrook to a beautiful natural bridge with an impressive waterfall in the rain forest. There is cave that supposed to have glow worms but you would need to visit after dark. The tour instead take you to an artificial cave where you can see the glow worms. This is a very unique experience. Then the tour goes to Tamborine Rainforest where you can enjoy amazing trees and lots of birds and bird sounds. There are beautiful scenic stops along the way. The tour ends with an hour of free time in a little tourist strip with wine tasting, food options and souvenirs. If you like shopping you will enjoy this too. Overall, this tour was shorter than others and I think it would have been more enjoyable if there was more time for hiking and/or if the skywalk in Tamborine was included for additional wow experience.

  • Nice day, beautiful places, great lunch. Bit of driving involved but worth it.

  • This was a wonderful day trip. The guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this trip to all my friend's and family. Very happy customer.

  • The weather was pretty crummy SO COLD up on top of Mount Tamborine!, but it made for some beautiful rainforest scenes - after all, it is a RAINforest. But Bryan I think that was his name! was a good tour guide, very friendly and personable. Lunch was good but nothing spectacular. The glow worm cave was pretty amazing, even if it was artificial the cave, that is - the worms were definitely real. Knowing the biology of glow worms it makes sense to have the experience in an artificial cave instead of a natural cave. Anyway, the weather did clear up towards the end, and this tour provides a good variety of outdoor experience. You will likely end up checking out at least three different natural areas. It's a little pricey IMO, and borderline too much money, but I'd say it's worth it, especially given how friendly the tour guide was.

  • It was amazing trip, our tour guide was awesome, It was great experience to see the Glow Worm cave and the rainforest

  • Two beautiful walks thru rain forests, cool glow worm cave, delicious lunch, knowledgeable tour guide, and fun shopping at end. Some participants chose to take a third walk instead nice to have that option.

  • Shane was a great tour guide! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall the tour was great I really liked the glow worm caves and my tambourine park in particular. I would recommend the vege stack for lunch, it was definitely the best option!

  • Very informative trip! Guide was telling us about every animal we seen and was possible to see

  • This was a well-paced tour that delivered all it promised. The walking was not too strenuous, the lunch more than adequate and the sights quite pretty. Our guide was knowledgeable and had expert qualifications though he talked a lot!. The van was roomy enough though I didn't envy those in the back seat - it was close quarters. For the price I think the provision of a bottle of water per passenger would have been a good touch for not much outlay.
