Know More about this tour

In the early morning, meet your guide at the port in St. Kitts. Together with your small group, journey to the Wingfield Estate, one of the oldest plantations on the island, via an open safari truck. On the way to the forest you will see a number of interesting Carib petroglyphs and the historic village of Old Road where Sir Thomas Warner, along with his family and 14 others, began the first permanent European settlement in the Leeward Islands. Jump out of the truck at the Wingfield Estate, set in the picturesque foot hills of the central mountain range and the gateway to the rainforest.
Enjoy the cool tropical breeze amidst the lush tropical forest as you journey on foot along the Peter Manning Trail. As you walk, spot green vervet monkeys swinging on tree vines and, if you like, take a refreshing dip in the river.

Wonderful tour of the rainforest and some great, local treats at the end! It was a fantastic way to spend the morning and get some background on the local community.

This tour far exceeded my expectations. Dave met us just off the pier and his son Zedan gave us the sight seeing ride around town pointing out various sights and providing local color. What I found tremendously interesting is in the rain forest walk he pointed out countless plants, fruits, nuts, etc, and for each he had a homeopathic use for the leaf, bark, root, fruit or nut. He is a walking encyclopedia of remedies. I sincerely wish I had a bundle of zip lock baggies and a note pad to jot it all down. My motto has always been "better living through chemistry" but he knows enough about the natural flora that I wanted to take it all in eagerly. Very impressive, and the tour description does not do it justice if you are looking for a learning experience. He says he grew up spending all his free time in the forest and I believe it. He knows it like the back of his hand.

Our guide, Zidan, was very informative about the environment, plants and history of the island. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour, Zedan was fabulous! Loving exploring his backyard pretty much, so many things he pointed out that if us just walking through would've never know. Definitely worth it.

Zidan was a great driver and rainforest tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the environment. We were "lucky" to have seen so many monkeys. We also saw a big snail on the trail which was awesome!

Brilliant tour with Zedan who knows so much about the forest. My kids who are normally reluctant to go on anything which can be termed a “walk” had an amazing time - cracking open almonds, searching for monkeys (yes we saw a few) and swinging from vines. So much fun!

We really enjoyed the small group size and the friendliness of our guide. We were able to interact with him individually and he answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. The information about the plants was quite interesting and seeing monkeys in the trees was the highlight! Also, signage was clear and transportation easy and quick. Would recommend if you want something different than a beach day in St. Kitts that's not too strenuous.

The Rain forest was amazing. Breathtaking and Zidan is the best tour guide! Definitely will do again

Great easy hike. It was very informative. You get a quick tour of the sugar plantation and then you start the hike through the forest. We really liked our guide. Make sure and bring your own water for during the hike. You will dehydrate quickly.

David had good knowledge of the local plants and explained them well. He was so kind that at the end of the tour dropped us at our hotel.
