Know More about this tour

No matter which sightseeing option you choose, youll experience a blend of St Martin's colonial past with its modern present as you visit both sides of the Caribbean island, settled by the Dutch and the French in the 1600s. As you tour the island with your guide, learn how the two sides joined forces against the Spanish, dividing the 37-square-mile (60-square-km) island almost equally between them into Dutch St Maarten and French St-Martin.

After pickup from your Philipsburg hotel, venture first to Grand Case Beach, one of the most tranquil and beautiful of St Martin's coastline. Here, on the north end of the French side, walk along the crystal-white sand and admire the pristine, clear blue water that mirrors the sky. Sunbathe, swim or stroll at your leisure, basking in the tropical sun.

The visit the village of Grand Case, where you can try guavaberry rum punch or simply enjoy a soda or beer. If you choose, dine on a local dish, such as chicken legs or Johnny Cake a fried cornmeal pancake for lunch (own expense).

Next, head to the quaint village of Marigot. Delight in the European ambiance of the town, where colonial streets lined with shops and the open-air bazaar offer plenty of duty-free shopping opportunities if youre interested.

Then, visit Maho Beach and hold your breath as you watch airplanes fly close above as they approach the runway at nearby Princess Juliana International Airport. Your tour ends with a drive through Simpson Bay on your return to your hotel.

Good and varied selection of visits to french side and capital also famous beach with planes landing was Fab and well worth fighting the crowds at this popular spot. Would have liked more than the 45 mins at Marigot to see the fort ideally but still great value and a lot of stops to see the sights.

Get an overall history and see things you wouldn’t be able to do on your own. Learn a bit about the country you’re visiting

This tour was a wonderful overview of the countries of Sint Maartin(Dutch) and Saint Martin(French) - and while it was time limited due to the distance that we needed to cover - it was a nice sample of the island life - I loved my trip to this island and woud love ot return again.

tour guide was excellent and trip very worth while to get a good overview of st martins (both dutch and French sides) and a quick history of the island. some of the stops were a little to long with nothing to do but overall we would recommend the tour

The itinerary was good. I enjoyed the swim at Orient Beach, the lunch at Grand Case Beach,
and the airplane landings at Maho Beach. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. The
    lunch was very good.

We enjoyed this tour and visiting the various points of the Island. Wellington was funny and knowledgeavlew, and catered to our needs. His rum punch is great! Enjoyed visiting Maho beach and seeing planes arrive and depart. I think that the stop there could be less time, as there is not much to do there. We had a good time on this tour.

This company is very unprofessional. They waited until the day of my tour to email me about a cancellation of my tour. If I had not called them, I never would have known about the cancellation. I will never book a tour with this company. I'm very dissatisfied the way they communicated with me.

We were amazed at the hurricane destruction on this island. We've heard a lot about Puerto Rico but St Maarten was much worse. Our tour took us all around the island to all the major tourist stops. It was a wonderful tour but I can only imagine what the island was like before the storm. Our driver was great and generous with various tasty drinks at almost every stop. Our bus was totally crammed and the air conditioning was sketchy but it did the job. I wish Viator would provide a good map of each stop to help us locate our tour operator. The announced pickup times and directions are totally inaccurate on this and virtually every tour we've taken with Viator.
