The substitute visit will be the Faberge museum or Pavlovsk Grand palace and is intended to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable visit to St. Petersburg.

    Two FULL days of touring the best that St Petersburg has to offer. Purchasing this tour online, processing it, getting emails answered (no matter how stupid my question), getting through customs and finding the guide in port was ALL super easy and much faster than I anticipated. The tour guide is chock full of information about every site, all the history of each site, everything you see and the history of Russia and its culture and past. The shops have everything that you want to buy but do not assume that it is locally made. If you want to taste the vodka/coffee/tea at the shops, go their first as they put out one round and when it is gone it is gone. The staff in the shops speak perfect English and could not be nicer or more charming. The sites are amazing, truly spectacular, beauty around every turn. Listen to the guide when (s)he says to leave everything on the bus as we watched people being pickpocked. The walk around the grounds was incredible but is long and can be quite cold (you're outside for at least an hour walking around). We had a person in a wheelchair and a person with a walker and a few places were impossible for them to visit as the elevators were non existent or not working that day; just be prepared and flexible. Be prepared that it is TWO FULL DAYS of walking (including up and down lots of stairs), standing, and listening. The guide was unbelievably informative; just be prepared that there was no silence or time to just enjoy the beauty, the tour is constantly in motion with a constant lecture.. The lunches were two of the best meals that I've ever eaten served by amazing staff and in the most beautiful locations, completely diverse from each other. And my gluten free options were outstanding (you must preorder). This would not be a good tour for children or anyone who doesn't want to be in perpetual motion or learn about Russian history and art. For me, this was as close to perfection as any shore excursion I've ever done.

    Excellent guide, Elena took us on a 2 day fabulous excursion that we could never have anticipated. She was very informative, kept on schedule, and provided exceptional talent in keeping everything organized and our group together without any incidents. The meals provided on both days exceeding our expectation and were very yummy. Highly recommend this tour to anyone able to do 2 days of touring which we were able to on our cruise with 3 nights in St. Petersburg on Norweigian.

    Great 2-day tour st St Petersburg. Our tour guide Ludmila, was very nice and knowledgeable, explained the history of each place in details. Some areas involved lots of walking, not so good for seniors like us. Overall, it was an excellent tour!

    Absolutely the best shore excursion we have taken. Kate and the driver were superb. Guided us strategically and we avoided all the queues and crowds. Made the whole experience (intensive though it was) a very memorable 2 days.

    I was a bit disappointed by the fact that you always have to follow your guide when you are visiting with a cruise ship and without a visa. I would have loved to go shopping outside of the tourist shop but it was impossible.

    Great tour and Svetlana was knowledgable in history, art and her country. We spent two days together and she kept us on time, answered questions from the group. I would ask for her again when we return to the area. Driver was good and coordinated with the guide.
