  • This tour was one of the best run catamaran rides my husband and I have ever gone on. It was the first for our kids, 15 and 18 yrs - both of which who really enjoyed it. The staff themselves were extremely professional and not only interacted with everyone but also took more safety measures than we have seen before in past excursions. For example, drinking was not allowed until after the snorkeling and when we all got back on the boat, before they left the island all four staff members counted everyone on the boat to ensure that they all came up with the same number. Also, on the way to Buck island, they all went to separate parts of the boat and sat with passengers guests to tell us all about the islands surrounding us on the way. The snorkeling itself was also amazing as we not only saw great coral and fish but also got to see large sea turtles and swim close to them when they took a breath. It was a wonderful trip and we all had a great time.

  • Went to St Thomas in July - slow season - and it was amazing , the crew - Greeeeat !!! So glad we did it.

  • Captain Ryan and his crew Mason, Jodie, and Cane did a great job making us feel at home. Mason led our snorkel tour and was able to point out several fish and coral I might not have otherwise noticed. We saw plenty of turtles and rays and had the time of our lives! Great for kids loved every minute of it.

  • I had a great experience on this tour. The captain and crew were courteous and very helpful. We had a great ride over to the snorkeling site and spent about 90 min. in the water and enjoyed a relaxing catamaran ride back to the dock with lots of rum punch flowing. I would highly recommend Captain Joe and his crew for your next snorkeling adventure.

  • Great sail, great snorkeling, great fun! The crew really take care of you throughout the entire experience. The sail back was also nice with all the complimentary snacks and drinks. You can and #39;t go wrong with this trip.

  • The VI Cat's Captain Joe and crew were professional and attentive to the safety of all passengers, and ran the excursion on time. The catamaran left the dock promptly at 1pm and returned about 4:30pm.

Only a couple turtles were in the cove, and there weren't that many fish to see. There was also some interesting coral.

Be aware that there are many stairs to walk down to get to the dock area where the Cat leaves from. If you have mobility issues, ask the Frenchman's Reef Information Desk if there is an easier way down if there's another way, it wasn't obvious. Some people were struggling on the stairs.

  • A must do if you want to be in the water and up close and personal with the beautiful sea turtles, as well as other fishes too. The Cat crew is outstanding and took great care of everyone. Served chips, fresh fruit, rum and other drinks after the snorkeling while you relaxed on the slow sail back to St. Thomas. Overall Beautiful, fun, amazing trip. Highly recommended.

  • We highly recommend this excursion. Everyone was so nice and made the outing so enjoyable. We saw a sting ray and turtles along with tons of beautiful fish.

  • We certainly enjoyed this trip, well worth it. Cat was clean, day was beautiful and the crew was great. They were very helpful in finding the right equipment for snorkeling. While in the water, the crew guided us to see sea turtles and tropical fish. The sail over and back from Turtle Cove was what we had hoped for. The crew also helped with any snorkeling questions. It was a day of fun.

  • Never buy tickets ahead of time. Water was so rough because of wind but the trip went anyway. No refunds on tickets by that time. We paid for 7 but only 4 could go and only 2 of those dared to snorkel. Would have been great in good weather. No-one snorkeled the full time allotted due to choppiness. Could have been a good experience under different conditions.
