Thefriendly and knowledgeable guide narrates the tour while traveling along Park Drive, overlooking the Seawall and the ocean. Go past the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and Deadman's Island, also known as the HMCS Discovery, a Royal Canadian Navy Reserve. The ride includes a 5-minute stop at the famous totem poles. Feel free to get out and capture some great photos of this popular site.
Note: Please return to the same carriage to continue the tour.
The next stop is at the famous Girl in a Wetsuit Statue and the Empress of Japan Figurehead. Then the ride continues on the north side of Stanley park with views towards North Vancouver and the Lions gate bridge,a suspension bridge that crosses the first narrows of Burred Inlet, connecting the City of Vancouver.

Missed this tour. We were not able to make it due to the rain and not feeling well. I am sure it was a great experience. We had similar on our trip
-
Horse and carriage ride through the park was fun, Laura was our driver/guide and was very entertaining with her Scottish accent and informative on our 1 hour journey.
-
My favourite part was meeting Hal and the horses (Jack and Bigger). Even though Jack was a little naughty, Hal behaved himself throughout. Hal in fact gave a very knowledgeable narration along our tour which included information on the horses, history of the park and Vancouver the city itself. It was a very warm day and the staff had fans and water spray for the horses and they seamed very well cared for. A lovely little trip around Stanley park, thank you
-
Long horse tour and many explanations in an amazing and big preserved Park. That was Nice to see this natural place near the city
-
This 1 hour circuit around Stanley Park is perfect if you're tired of walking all over Vancouver! The guide's narrative was entertaining and educational. I think the cost is too high so I hope a lot of the profit goes into the care of the horses.
-
Was not sure how good this would be for the price but it was so well worth the money. A great leisurely hour taking in the key sites and feel of the park with these lovely animals. Very well narrated and the main kiosk has food and toilets.
-
If it wasn’t for the fantastic Caroline (german guide) I would rate this a lot lower! So overpriced stopped once for photo op and other stops were to let traffic pass (fair enough) but one stop was by a tree and we sat there for 10mins to be talked to about the horses! $100 CAD is way way way overpriced. Horses appear well cared for which is great. However the trip ‘around the park’ is false advertising as it should read a trip through a couple of car parks and back roads.
-
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area. It was a great experience for both my parents and my children.
-
I think the horses need to be retired and the carriages replaced by tuktuks pulled by people. No more animals used for profit please. It was hot and the horses looked tired and sad
-
Wish they had told us its first come first served for seating so we would have known to be as pushy as the people who just bought their tickets ahead of those of us who had been waiting 45 minutes for the next carriage to arrive. The tour should assign you a boarding time so you aren't at the mercy of rude, pushy people.
