Upon reachingthe small but vibrant town of Stellenbosch, enjoy your first tasting at awine cellar.

Next up is the Marianne Wine Estate, located in Franschhoek, an old Huguenot village translated asthe 'French Corner.' You will be enchanted by the town's charm and tranquil atmosphere while youtaste of the region's best wines and cheeses.

En route to Paarl, your guide will point out Drakenstein Prison, a low-security prison where Nelson Mandela spent the last part of his sentencefor campaigning against apartheid. The guide Basil Brown was the best!
We learnd About South African history and development by a real South african.
We visited lovely estates with serviceminded stagg.

With a sort of silly 40 min tram ride when a side stop on the road for a photo would’ve done, a lunch not at a winery, and 2 hours from pickup to our first stop, the pace was insanely painful. The guide was amaizng though. The tour company just needs to restructure this tour

We had a great experience with this tour! Our guide, Franco, was knowledgeable, polite and friendly, and he created a laid back atmosphere for all 9 guests. We toured three wineries and stopped for coffee and a lunch. Hotel pickup was incredibly convenient!

We were collected from our hotel by our guide for our day tour of the wine vineyards named Basil. He started by giving us the background history as we drove out of Capetown. Our party of 7 people were surprised to learn in his 61 years, he had never left Capetown.
We visited 3 vineyards and I sampled 15 wines. Very nice scenery in the wine growing areas.

    I would recommend this tour.

Absolutely loved it, bound to feel a bit drunk though! Plenty of time to relax and wander around the old towns.

Always difficult to assess how a tour like this compares with others but it seems a fine one. Guide had interesting information and drove well, we were not rushed in and out of the wineries

This tour was by far my favorite during my visit to South Africa. The vineyards we visited were top notch and I really impressed by the wine/food samples. Our tour guide provided a lot of information about this region and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. If you want to see a beautiful, historic area of the country, as well as looking for a tour which is value-for-money, this is it.

The tour was great. Nice to join some fellow travellers. Driver was excellent. I thought that the vineyards were gorgeous, but I was disappointed in 3 out of the 4 vineyards wine selection tastes.

We had a great day going round the winary's with fellow passengers. Our tour guide Maxwell i thjnk was marvellous and very informative, he took pictures of the company we were with at each winery. The wines were great and the discription of each wine gjven by staff of the winery was also informative. All in all a great day.

This tour is not executed as presented by Viator. Seems to be the local tour operator's choice on what towns and wineries are visited. We did not go to Paarl, did not tour the town, did not visit the Huguenot Memorial, did not visit Lowrie. The aspects of the tour that were similar not identical were enjoyable but if you are looking to visit certain locations as I was when I booked, consider another tour. This one is deceptively advertised. The local tour company blames Viator and Vistor blames the local tour company. Best to avoid and find a more trustworthy set of providers.
