Overview

Founded in 1679 by the then govender of the Cape Colony Simon Van Der Stel on the banks of The Eerste Rivier. During 1690 French Huguenot viticultural refugees settled in Stellenbosch and immediately planted grapes in the fertile valleys around Stellenbosch making it the centre of the South African Wine Industry. Stellenbosch has the largest number of wine estates in the Western Cape and created what is known as the Stellenbosch wine route. Establish in 1971 by Frans Malan from Simonsig , Spatz Sperling from Delheim and Neil Joubert from Spier Wine Estate. Stellenbosch is also a leading university town with roughly 29,000 students per year..Stellenbosch has arguably the best wine estates in the country if not certainly the largest variety with 173 magnificent wine estates. We do 4 various wine tours in Stellenbosch in the North, South,East and West and cherry pick simply the very best of the best in each of these areas

My sister and I used Andy’s Tours and Shuttle Services for an airport transfer to Franschhoek, a full day Stellenbosch Winelands Tour, the Cape Peninsula Tour and an Elgin Valley Tour. We had a wonderful time and we were able to see and learn so much in our short visit to Cape Town. Andy and his team were very professional, attentive, prompt and very flexible. They have extensive knowledge of the area and they made great recommendations which definitely enhanced our experience. Thanks so much Andy, Caroline and Ariette for making our trip so fun and memorable!!!
