Know More about this tour

Meet your guide outside stermalms Saluhall, Stockholms oldest food market. Many of its family-run food businesses have passed down through the generations, and the markets interior remains little changed from centuries ago, with its woodcarvings still intact.

Sample some tasty modern versions of traditional Swedish meatballs that are healthier than their counterparts, and then walk through Stureplan, Stockholms most exclusive square, to discover a part of the city often missed by visitors.

Continue to Kungsgatan and dive into K25, an edgy, urban food court beloved by young locals. Sample some of the scrumptious seafood delicacies on offer here, washed down with a glass of white wine.

Next comes Chokladfabriken, one of Stockholms favorite chocolate cafs. Try its popular hot chocolate made from 65% cocoa, dark Venezuela Criollo beans and cardamom. One sip and youll see why the locals rave about it!

Continue to Htorgshallen market to explore its tempting stalls, piled high with fresh produce and Swedish delicacies. Follow your guide to the P&B Delikatesser stand to sample a range of homemade products, such as cloudberry jam, chocolate-coated liquorice and natural truffles.

Next, visit Husmans Deli to try its prize-winning artisan cheeses before heading for cured meat specialists, Fagel & Vilt. Swedes love cured game and have a particular penchant for smoked reindeer and elk salami. Try an assortment of the flavor-packed meats accompanied by the strong Swedish beer, Norrlands Guld, and some mouth-watering seasonal fruit from Lisbeth Janson Frukt & Grnt.

From here, stroll to Gamla Stan (Old Town), admiring the colorful houses lining its cobbled lanes as you walk. After visiting a candy store to try a scrumptious Swedish candy stick, enjoy your final tasting at Under Kastajen, a popular purveyor of traditional breads. Dunk a kanelbullar (cinnamon roll) in your coffee here to enjoy your very own fika the much-loved national ritual of a coffee break combined with a sweet treat!

Your tour comes to an end after your fika when you say goodbye to your guide.

  • Another great tour of stockholm and its food . Dunja was our guide again and this made the tour all the more enjoyable . she explain each of the foods we were eating and some had legends behind them which made the food even more interesting. each spot we stopped at had the food ready to taste and it was very good. we tasted food we would not get in our country so it was a great food tour. A point for people who are fussy eaters or have a intolerance should make this very clear at booking as you can see the people providing the food are small business owners so wasting anything they provide would be unkind. we love every bit of the food and was lovely and full by the time we finished. thank you again to Dunja for a great day.

  • It was an amazing tour. The food was good and the guide made us eat really traditional food.

  • the tour guide does not give the correct position of meeting point. we must wait 15 minutes

  • A lot of fun and good food.

  • It was a rainy December day, but we enjoyed the leisurely pace and friendly guide on the Stockholm food tour. Portions were often quite generous. with a nice mix of dried meats, cheese, fish stew, meatballs, open faced sandwiches, candies, beer, wine and fika. The tour took us through several neighborhoods of the city. I only wish we had been given a list of the establishments we visited so that I could have passed that on to our Stockholm friends so they could try some of the places.

  • Had an amazing experience! Our guide was wonderful and walked us all around Stockholm, taking us to places we would never have thought to stop in. Our tour was just two of us and one other couple and was both intimate and warm, and was the highlight of my trip to Stockholm. I highly recommend this tour!

  • My husband and I went on this amazing food tour of Stockholm. Our guide was terrific, very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The tour took in a indoor market where you get to taste cheeses and meats, all local produce washed down with beer. The stall holders were friendly too. We then went on to lunch in another indoor market, Again local food which was great, skagen, fried herring and soup, washed down this time with a glass of wine. We then went upstairs and tried liquorice, sweet and salty that was interesting great wee shop though if you like liquorice which I do. you then continue through the streets of Stockholm to an amazing chocolate shop, where you get to taste chocolates and the hot chocolate, it was scrumptious, and if that wasn't enough we went to a candy store in the the old town. We fortune enough to see the proprietor making candy, and of course got to taste. Then to finish we had 'Fika', Swedes love doing this, it's coffee and usually a cake, we had pastries. I would recommend taking along an appetite and a backpack, we couldn't help but purchase some of the goodies. Highly recommend especially if you only have the weekend like us.

  • This was one of the best food tours I have been on. Our guide was so very knowledgeable of the area. We got to taste a wide variety of the local cultural foods. All were delicious!

  • Great tour just don't eat much breakfast before or you will struggle to enjoy all the delicacies on offer. Good way to get a feel for the city and its life. Plenty of walking so you get to pass places to revisit afterwards.

  • This tour was incredible! Somehow, I managed to be the only one to book the tour on the day I went and had my very own private food tour! While I always enjoy meeting people, this was actually really special as it was my last day in Stockholm. Tessie was a wonderful tour guide and I really learned so much about various historical aspects of Sweden and Stockholm, as well as some rich insight regarding the different foods I was trying. She was very personable and had so many wonderful stories and details to share. The tour had a great mix of savory and sweet, with portions being just right and with enough walking to help you feel like you weren't JUST eating. This was an excellent way to explore the city and get to know various areas while also enjoying some of the best treats and specialties of the region. I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to learn about the culture, the city, and to eat excellent food :
