Salvador is a great guide. We ended up having a private tour. He was educating us about the history of the Indian Nose. After the hike he took us back to our hotel for a quick outfit change before kayaking. One of us didn’t know how to kayak but he was kind to teach.

The guide was very knowledgeable of everything on thr hike. If you're not used to doing a hike it may be challenging for your first time so be prepared because it is a very high incline. The kayaking was good afterwards as well and because I was only a beginner the guide was able to join me on a double. I went with a group of friends and we enjoyed our hike with beautiful pictures from the views.

We did the hike from the sunrise. Very beautiful and active ! Salvador very accommodating picked us from our hotel and guided us all the way to the hike and back. We were 3 sisters and we felt safe and enjoyed the experience very much. Only important to note is hike can be very taxing 30 minutes for persons who don’t normally workout so try to practice prior if you are not a fit person, but still all good.

This hike was challenging, but VERY worth it! Not recommended for anyone who has knee problems or problems with heights. Great views at the top, and our guise Salvador was amazing! He made us coffee and brought us breakfast patties for breakfast. Best value for the experience.

I did the sunrise hike with Salvador. He picked me up from my hotel in Santa Cruz at 3:30 am by boat (no group tours leave from this town so I had to do a private tour). We then took a shuttle with multiple other passengers up the mountain. The hike itself only lasted 30 minutes but was very steep and it was dark, so bring a flashlight! We stopped at a lookout point and Salvador explained more about the history of the area, from the people who live there to agriculture to the geographic changes over thousands of years. We made it with plenty of time before the sunrise (about 5:15 am) and got free hot coffee and bread from the landowner. The sunrise was beautiful and we stayed up there for about an hour. Then we hiked down, took the shuttle and he dropped me off by boat once my at my hotel in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend Salvador as your tour guide, he will not disappoint!

We thoroughly enjoyed our early morning hike to the viewpoint high above the lake. Our guide Nick, who works with Salvador, took great care of us from the time we were picked up in San Pedro until our return to the same location. Nick was a very gentle, serene & spiritual guide, sharing with us stories of conversations with his grandfather about the night sky & his grandfather's beliefs about the stars, all the while looking out carefully for our safety on the sometimes steep & moderately challenging trail. Weather conditions are always a gamble, and despite some fairly heavy cloud cover the morning of our hike, creating more of a moody view than a fiery one, it was still beautiful & we'd heartily recommend Nick as a guide for a sunrise or other hike when you're in the area!

Salvador picked us at 4:30 at our hotel in San-Pedro. He drove us to the point where the hike was about to start. We were walking with a flesh light in complete darkness. That was nice. The hike was relatively short and easy. We arrived before 6 to enjoy the sunrise (6:20). We stayed there around one and half hour and went back. It’s a short experience but one of the “must do” around the lake Atitlan. Do not go there on your own. Make sure you have a good guide such as Salvador! We will definitely come back and book more stuff with him!
