Know More about this tour

For those of you looking for a breathtaking tour of Tuscany during the golden hours of the afternoon, this tour is perfect for you! Meet your friendly tour guide at Piazzale Montelungo Bus Terminal. Piazzale Montelungo is located 5-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station. Grab a seat on the comfortable coach bus, and prepare to depart! During your journey to Siena, your guide will dive into the fascinating history of the city, with some interesting facts and information. The drive will take about one hour.
Your guide will walk you through the perfectly-preserved medieval streets to the center of the city - Piazza del Campo. In a city that seems frozen in the Renaissance, it truly exemplifies medieval glory throughout the Tuscany region. With a rich history of architecture, art, and culture, the city of Siena itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Enjoy plenty of free time for independent exploration throughout the medieval-style buildings, artisanal shops, local cafes, and picturesque alleyways.
Piazza del Campo is a must-see in Siena. This (very) large, oval shaped “piazza” is a popular gathering place for locals to meet with family, friends, and classmates. You will probably notice Sienese locals resting on the wide slopes, which lead to Palazzo Comunale and Torre del Mangia. The vibrant square is also home to an annual palio horse race, an epic competition between the different neighborhoods of Siena!
exploring Siena as you please, it is recommended you take some time to visit the heart of the city - the Siena Cathedral. As you walk up to the church, you will immediately notice the breathtaking facade decorated colorfully in pink, green, white, and black marble. Constructed in the 1200’s, this is a perfect example of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. Inside the Cathedral, take some time to admire the unique floors filled with marbled mosaics, depicting biblical stories on 56 different scenes. As you look up, you will see masterpieces throughout the church from Renaissance masters including Donatello, Pisano, Pinturicchio, and Michelangelo. Stroll through the grandiose atmosphere inside, and before exiting, don't forget to stop in the hidden gem of the Cathedral - the deep-colored frescoes of the Piccolomini Library!
A truly unforgettable evening awaits you… You will be brought to a rustic wine estate in the heart of the Chianti wine region. The estate overlooks the rolling hills and lush land. You will be seated at a prepared table among the vineyards of the estate. Does it get much better than this? One of the local wine producers will serve the appetizers of local, seasonal products such as bruschette, salami, and fresh cheese. Then, indulge in a home cooked pasta dish, all made with local products from the region. And the best part - your dinner will include a tasting of various high-quality wines, including Chianti Classico. Enjoy this fantastic meal under the glowing, colorful sky of Tuscany as the sun falls into the horizon.
After your delicious (and picture-perfect!) dinner under the Tuscan sunset, it will be time to head back to Florence. You will arrive back in the early evening.

It was a brilliant tour Siena was beautiful we were left to do it on our own accord. Tour guide gave us some history prior. Walking the medieval town which felt like you were living those days Was magical experience in Chianti the most beautiful sunset dinner in the vineyard with wine tasting at Tenuta Torciano. A remarkable experience

Our driver, Cristian, arrived early but was patient when we were a few minutes late. He was knowledgeable, informative, accommodating, kind, and nice to be around. He provided us with a fantastic day trip to Pisa, Sienna, and San Gimignano. Highly recommend. Cristian was a wonderful tour guide and I would ask for him again.

From start to finish the experience was great, siena was beautiful, with plenty of free time. The winery and dinner was very intimate and extremely worth the money

The winery we had the meal in.the people were brilliant, service was fast and the talk and tasting both entertaining and humourous. This tour was the highlight of all our tours.fab.

I was expecting to be able to see the sunset over the Tuscan hills as we ate dinner, but this did not happen as we were inside with curtains everywhere, so we could not see the outside. I imagine this was in an attempt to keep the room cooler, but it meant we really missed out on the point of the trip, in my opinion. The dinner was delicious, but the wines although nice were very expensive. I would not do this one again or recommend it - more hype and less in reality.

We had an absolutely magical time from start to finish with our guide Gaia and driver Barbara. Gaia gave us lots of information and history of places of interest throughout our trip. We had a lovely time walking around Sienna. Then made our way to the Winery. The Host Luigi was fantastic. The food was matched with wine tasting. Food was very tasty and fresh. We were almost not going to attend this tour based on others reviews. We are so happy we attended. This made our mother daughter Italy trip more memorable. Thank you for the experience

Lovely experience from beginning to end. Wish had walked to the top of the hill as we arrived to the winery for photos before dinner rather than after but other than that, amazing wine, food and tour guides.

My husband and I went on the “Sunset in Sienna” tour and it was the worst tour we’ve ever been on. There was no tour of Sienna. We had to walk twenty minutes from the bus to the city where the tour guide gave us free time but absolutely no direction. Sienna is a very small city but was still nice to explore. I wish I learned more about its history from the tour guide but she was on her phone most of the time. After the twenty minute walk out of the city, (our tour guide still on the phone), we got back on the bus for our dinner and wine tasting. Our intimate dinner was one long table that sat 50 people in a warehouse. No windows. No view of a sunset despite gorgeous weather. No views of beautiful scenery despite being in Tuscany. No AC in the hot late June day. The wine pours were truly just a “taste” - they were incredibly stingy and not even that great. The food was cafeteria food at best - precut cheese, frozen lasagna, mystery meat, & half baked oily potatoes. For dessert - a biscotti! The dinner was anything but “fresh and seasonal” or “delicious Tuscan” as quoted in the highlights. Everything was cold, tasteless, and bland. Abysmal. Laughable. It was grotesquely overpriced, a complete waste of time, and left a bad taste in our mouth - literally. Our tour guide never gave her name out probably due to embarrassment. I reached out to Ciao Florence to ask them to rectify the issue. After four emails and an “investigation” they gave us back €15. They stated “This amount correspond to the dinner part and since you used the rest of the services in full, this is the most that we can offer to you.” I assume the rest of the services was just the bus since we had no tour and only three sips of wine. What was supposed to be a highlight of our week in Florence turned out to be a waste of time better spent wandering at random. Congrats to the marketing team for Ciao Florence because I was completely FOOLED by this tour company.

If you are expecting to walk around the winery and get a history of how the wine is made DO NOT TAKE THIS TRIP. You will leave from Florence and visit Siena for 1.5hrs and then go to a winery where they will serve you cafeteria type food, won’t refill your wine if you ask them to (only 2 small pours of white wine, 1 of red and a small shot of dessert wine). You are not allowed to walk around the winery, you are placed in a room with barrels and are not even able to see the sunset. Save your money.
