  • I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Stepania, was very knowledgable of the places and answered numerous questions. Overall, a great experience. Regarding the tour organizers, I have purchased a tour with an inclusive Madrid Walking tour, however, it was not very clear on which day this tour would proceed as it just mentioned on the other day. It should be clearly stated if it is the next day after Avila and Salamanca trip or booked separately whenever, in which case a way of booking should be provided.

  • So, first, a bit of itinerary to this tour since very little information is given: This tour starts with a two hour drive to Salamanca, stopping unnecessarily for a half hour in a small cafe before really starting on the walk. However, there is then a nice informative triangle walk of Salamanca, including seeing the Plaza Mayor and admission to the church. Then you have less than an hour to explore yourself. A drive back East for around an hour includes a great scenic look first of Avila from afar, no informative walk of the town, but again admission to the famous church there before another forty minutes to explore.
Now, about my experience: Our female tour guide was kind. She tried to explain a lot in English and Spanish equally and was very informative. Tried to give a good amount of time, though understood that there was limited time. Thirty minutes in a café at the beginning was an unnecessary waste, in my opinion. Greatly appreciate that it include admission to north cathedrals. Walked at a great pace unlike other tours I've taken. Wish there had been more time given in each town even by just a half hour, but her information really was insightful and worth it overall.
Did not do the Madrid Walking tour.
