Overview

Swallow Cave (Hang En) in Phong Nha Caves is located in Quang Binh province in central Vietnam. The caveis 1.645 m long and has three mouths. One is halfway up a mountain, and two others are located on another mountain which has its foot on the south-east and north-west alongside Rao Thuong Stream. These aspects make the cave different from other well-known caves in the country. After reaching Km No. 35 on the Ho Chi Minh Path, there is a small path that leads to a primeval forest stretching as far as the eye can see. Hang En (Swallow cave) is located in Son Trach, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It takes explorers 5 to 6 hours of walking through a 9 kilometer long forest path from Truong Son Highway to reach the mouth of Son Dong cave.

Day 1: Phong Nha Phong Nha Ke Bang

8:15: Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Phong Nha village. You will then be briefed of the tour plan before we leave for Phong Nha Ke Bang National Parks core zone to discover Hang En Cave.

11:30: We reach Doong Village, a secluded village in the jungle. We will have a picnic lunch in the village. Here you will enjoy a traditional vietnamese dish. Vegetarian option available. Please contact us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.

After lunch, we begin a trek through the jungle toward En Cave (Swallow Cave).

14:00: We reach Hang En Cave, a beautiful cave with over 2km in length and 49m in height. We will explore the cave, take photos, then set up our camp near a stream. Our support team will catch fish in the stream to cook for our dinner.

18:00: Have dinner and sleep in your tent

Day 2: Hang En (Swallow cave) Phong Nha

08:30: Breakfast at the campsite before we trek toward Doong Village where we have a lunch break before driving back to Phong Nha village. Trip ends.
