Overview

The Olympic town of Innsbruck is the only major city in the European Alps, and offers its visitors a combination of culture, history and nature. See the world's largest crystal at Swarovski's Crystal World and pass by the venues of the Winter Olympic Games of 1964 and 1976.

Know More about this tour

Enjoy a drive along some of Bavaria's most beautiful lakes as you travel through the Karwendel mountains to Innsbruck, the city of the Golden Roof, and the Tirolean capital.

One of the highlights of your tour is a visit to Swarovski's Crystal World. The complex was designed by the famous Austrian performer - artist Andre Heller, and it takes you on a interesting journey into the world of crystals. At Swarovski's Crystal World you will find the world's biggest crystal which weighs 137 pounds (62 kilograms) and the largest Kaleidoscope in the world.

In Innsbruck you will have enough time to savor the sights of the historical center such as the Hofburg and Hofkirche, and you will pass the venues of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games, before returning to Munich.

The whole day was a great success. The guide Francesco was knowledgeable.she is a credit to this company

I was disappointed in this tour. The tour only had two stops, but each stop felt very rushed. You need at least 3-4 hours in each location to try to visit each location properly. One hour is allocated for Swarovski World, which is not enough time to walk through the museum AND shop at the largest Swarovski store in the world! Our tour guide was a lovely man!
If I had know then what I know now, I would have taken the train/bus and been on my own schedule.

Francesca was a wonderful tour guide. She went out of her way to explain everything to us, she was very knowledgable and accommodating.

I loved this tour, the displays in Swarovski Crystal World were amazing and Innsbruck is a beautiful place too.

The weather this day could not have been more beautiful, the guide was great and the views along the way awesome, day trips like this are a great way to relax and still get to see and learn so much.

Innsbruck was absolutely stunning. The architecture, the scenery, the quaint and charming streets. The food there was great and Austrian people are SO NICE. I honestly would have skipped Swarovski world. I thought it was going to bring me through the factory, but it was just walking through some modern art exhibitions made with the crystals. It was cool but I would not go back. The tour guide was great. He had very dry but funny humor. He loved cows and tunnels. Hilarious.

This day trip covers the Swarovsky crystal world at Wattens as well as the city of Innsbruck in Austria. I felt that the time spent in Innsbruck was too little and should be extended by an hour at least, if necessary by shortening the journey time by taking a more direct route via the autobahns. Also the funicular/cable car ride at Innsbruck should be part of the package as it is one of the main attractions in the town. Plus there is also the issue of German guides not being allowed to work in Austria, which makes this less of a guided tour.

Crystal World was boring. But Innsbruck was great

  • 08-Sep-2017

Crystal museum was not what I expected but was very interesting.
Innsbruck was ok but too modern.

  • 01-Sep-2017

If given a choice I would have driven around to the Swarovski world and spent 15 mins as they charge you to enter their museum and spent more time in Innsbruck
We left the guide at Innsbruck and made our way to the top of the mountains taking the cable car spend 30 mins on the top and were able to make it back on time before the bus left for munich - again I would have like to spend more time in the city
