Explorida is an absolutely wonderful tour company. My elderly mom went with me and although she did not intend to swim with the manatees, the tour guides were super helpful and kind to help her in and out of the boat and encouraged her to try out the experience which she thoroughly enjoyed. From the girl who explained everything during the video back at the shop to our tour guide Maddie and boat captain Tom - you can tell everyone is very passionate about preserving the manatees and educating us on the best way to passively observe and interact in their environment so as not to disturb or startle them. We got to see both a mother and her calf as well as a male manatee swimming below us as we froze and floated. They also explained the best way to obtain clarity in the water by “deadman floating” as swimming with your feet will kick up the grass and dirt from the shallow waters making it more difficult to visualize your experience. It was definitely a bucket list item we thoroughly enjoyed. The water was perfectly refreshing. Best to go out at 6:30am - the earliest tour if you can.

I STRONGLY recommend Explorida! Tom and Christen were superb! Although I am not a strong swimmer, Christen was an excellent, calm reassuring guide who led us to "Freeze and Float" above a mother and her calf. Their hot chocolate and dressing rooms were wonderful afterwards too! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Great experience snorkeling with the manatees with Explorida. Well organized, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very respectful of the wildlife. The staff member taking the photos did a great job! We happily purchased the photo package. Would highly recommend Explorida. They also have a very nice gift shop with a great selection of shirts, etc.

Great experience. Maddie and Cory were very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife! We were able to swim with a manatee and visit the three sisters springs. I would definitely recommend this company. Our tour had a small group of 10.

Amazing experience!! Despite many manatees leaving the area due to the warmer than usual water, the guides radio sighting locations to each other. We had a wonderful experience with a female and calf eating in a narrow shallow channel and a second swim with two adults. The later two manatees were extremely playful with each other and comfortable with us, breathing right in front of your mask, hugging each other and rolling right next to us, even gently brushing us as they swam. Surprised how they just played and hung around the snorkelers.
