We took the tour via travel agency Zani Viaggi. The tour guide was terrible who was not even able to complete the sentences in English. Secondly, he was too rude to be a tour guide who was constantly yelling at the tourists and was not willing to stop the bus for bathroom breaks as well (no matter how urgent is it for anyone). He even has the audacity to skip giving us the feedback forms just to avoid a bad review.
For me this was the best one-day tour I have ever experienced. Sarah is an outstanding guide and maximised photo opportunities by warning us when each new dramatic photo opportunity was about to evolve. This is a Jam-packed tour where you are occupied for the full 12 hours, viewing one jaw-dropping scene after another guided by someone who is as passionate about the tour and what you see, as they were the first time they saw it themselves....totally understandable as you take in the most breath-taking scenery you are ever likely to see. The schedule is tight and I would have liked more time in St Moritz, but it has given me the incentive to return to do exactly that...
This tour with our guide Simone was wonderful - bus driver excellent and lunch amazing - it was a great tour we loved every minute
The train tour to the Swiss alps was very good. We enjoyed the views and the trip. We did not expect the long bus rides though. It would be nice to have known that.
The train ride and the views are indescribably spectacular and a great way to see the alps for the first time and in a very short period of time. Even the bus ride from Milan to Torino is very scenic. Our bus stopped in Tirano at the Shrine of the Madonna di Tirano and this church which was completed in 1513 is a beautiful church full of history. The carved organ is a must see.. If you stop for lunch in Tirano before boarding the train, I strongly recommend that you pass on the tour guide's reco and go to the Merizzi restaurant for a fantastic meal.
One way the experience on the train ride could be improved, is by having a tour guide that more proactively advises the group when the best views are coming. Our tour guide did none of that. We passed waterfalls and great views so quickly that it was nearly impossible to snap a photo unless you were looking through your camera lense the whole time, which of course is impractical to do because one must experience the trip vs photographing it the whole time. That's why some simple advance notice of the 5 or so most picturesque views that were coming up would have been a very simple thing a tour guide could have done.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour , guide was very informative and knowledgeable, looked after everyone, the train journey itself was fantastic!
The views are breathtaking, stunning and worth the cost ! The bus driver was great, and felt safe with her driving, and the guide gave good information around Milan as well.
My husband and I booked this day tour as our 2nd Wedding anniversary present. It was worth every cent and more that we paid. The scenery is breathtaking and we have some extremely beautiful photos. If you have the opportunity to do this day tour I highly recommend that you do it, you won't be disappointed.
The Bernina Rail tour was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip to Italy!
The Coach Ride to Tirana was nice and the town was quaint and quiet ( this time of year)
The fun began with the ride itself. Hours of breathtaking scenery and lovely towns in the Alps.
Time in St Moritz was short and expensive. After a long day, the coach ride home was fine.
Had a great day, would do it again!
The tour was spectacular, the view the information received. We even had a few stops that were just incredible. The tour guide was so awesome, the driver she did a fantastic job driving. We have so many beautiful pictures is just worth every penny.
We roads by bus for 2+ hours. There was not enough legroom (I’m 5’6”). The person in front of me reclined his seat and I could not move in mine.
The guide’s English was poor. We could hardly understand her (our group of 4). For the amount you charge, we should have come back on the train as well as go up on it. Because we are older and slower, the group was constantly ahead of us. We just went our own way, and did not have any real touring. When the tour was over we were returned to the tour company office. It was impossible to get a cab to our hotel from this obscure place. We should have been offered a location where it was possible to get a cab or be close to the Metro. Fir all the money we paid, our group felt like it was all about the tour company and nothing about the customer. In case you think we’re decrepit, today we did 12,000 steps!
