Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic drive through Swiss countryside and the Bernese Oberland, a fairy-tale wonderland of white jagged Bernese Alps. The scenery is truly captivating, and it only gets better from here!

After a 1-hour drive, stop for a break in the famous town of Interlaken, situated between two lakes to form the main gateway to the region's mountains and lakes. Then, head to the nearby village of Grindelwald to board your cogwheel train for an incredible 1.5-hour ride to Jungfraujoch. Travel through the high mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg between the Eiger, Mnch and Jungfrau peaks.

When you arrive at Jungfraujoch at an elevation of 11,332 feet (3,454 meters), youve reached one of Europe's highest railway stations! Jungfraujoch immerses you in a breathtaking Alpine wonderland.

Take the underground tunnel to the Top of Europe building and stand on the lookout point to gaze down on the snowy peaks of Aletsch Glacier. Ride the elevator to the Sphinx Observatory's terrace for more amazing panoramas, and then enter the Ice Palace to walk through the heart of a glacier; it's an unforgettable experience!

Enjoy a meal or some refreshments at one of the several restaurants at the Top of Europe (own expense). • A great day trip from Luzern or Zurich - even in midwinter we had good luck with the weather as it was brilliant sunshine in the high mountains, and the views were amazing. A well organised tour with Minu as our guide who spoke excellent English and Spanish. Thoroughly recommended.

  • I took this tour just yesterday, mid December. We were very lucky to get a clear day on the mountain. Minu was our guide and she was excellent. Easy to understand and kept the group together. The air up top is thin so you will most likely feel dizzy. I do recommend this tour! It's beautiful up there

  • Tour great, but one time is enough, expensive, tour guide very self serving and conceited.

  • Being up the top of Jungfrau was breathtaking. We started the tour from Lucerne, which means you join the tour leaving from Zurich. It was a large group, about 60 people but the guides Peter and David did a great job managing everyone. This really is just a trip to Jungfrau. The stop in Interlaken was really just a shopping stop, but to be honest there really weren't that many good shops, unless you were looking for expensive watches. It would of be nice to have a bit more history or information about Switzerland etc. I think if you were going to do this trip, don't go later than early November because with the sun setting so early, the drive back will be pitch black. All in all an enjoyable day. Not sure if it would be possible to do it cheaper by yourself though...

  • My grown daughter and I had a wonderful experience. If time is limited this is definitely the way to go.

  • We had a spectacular day at Jungfraujoch! Clear, blue skies. A bit crowded but it was a Sunday. Besides the Alps we appreciated the travel through the countryside.

  • Would have been a lovely trip if not for the rainy day !!... preferable to take this trip well before september

  • Great trip with wonderful guide. Amazing views! It is about a 9-10 hour day, so be prepared, but well worth it!

  • Our tour guide and bus driver were excellent. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about the whole tour, mountains, lakes, etc. Minu Faber was the tour guide. Thanks very much to all.

  • Traveled 6-23-17... We were lucky to have a beautiful day on the mountain. It is a 10 hour trip from Lucerne roundtrip but its worth the ride if the weather is good. The transfers from bus to two train rides was well timed. You're given plenty of time to enjoy exploring the mountain top. Our guides were knowledgeable and very forthcoming with information. On the bus you'll find yourself trying to absorb the landscape while your guide shares details about the terrain and the Swiss culture. The only worry I would have if I were to book again is the weather. Several of our party went to the mountain the following day and couldn't see much at all due to rain and clouds. So if its sunny... expect large crowds. That's when the locals visit the mountain as well.
