This was a wonderful tour, our tour guide Francis was a lovely man, very friendly and helpful, we even had lunch with him

This was billed as a half day trip to Szendentre- in fact we got just over an hour in the town. Disappointing. The stop off at Visegrad was a very nice photo opp but wasn't on the agenda. It would have better to advertise a full day trip to Visegrad and Szendentre.
When we got to Szentendre, I found that the town had been taken over by a film company. Large sections of the main street and the main square were closed off. As they had been there for a few days before the trip, I think the tour operator could/should have known about this.

very good tour. the documentary was superb with very good humour too.
-
Into the countryside around Budapest, van stopped for photo opportunities. After free time in Szentendre, we took a shuttle boat back to the city.
-
It was very cold, and the boat trip back was freezing. The day trip was quite fun though.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and our bus driver was good. My complaint is with the trip itself, we spent three out of the four hours on the bus. Part of the trip was on a very narrow winding road and we drove within about a mile of a castle for a peek then to a look out to view the Danube before driving to Szentendre. We were dropped off a the end of the main street in Szentendre which contained a few stores that were run down and dowdy, I was confused because what I saw was not like the pictures I've seen of the town. When we finally got to the middle of town, the shops were very nice and the town was charming but unfortunately it was time to get back to the bus! Save yourself wasted time and money, go directly to Szentendre.

We were really looking forward to this trip. However, it left us pretty disappointed. The van was late in picking us up. It was a very uncomfortable ride as the bus was speeding to make up for lost time. Also, there wasn't enough legroom and we felt pretty squeezed in. There were two tour guides and they were speaking in three different languages - English, French and Spanish. It was hard to follow in English as the guide's delivery was not loud enough and we weren't sure when she was speaking in English. In the description, there was no mention of visiting Visegrad. The description also said, Then make a stop at one of the museums and enjoy a beverage, included with your ticket. We didn't visit any museums. In fact, the stop in Szentendre was short and we didn't get to go around square at all. We felt we were rushed. All in all, very disappointed with this tour and sorry, I can't recommend this tour to others.
-
I'm sorry, but this was nothing more than a shopping trip to stores that I suspect the guide got a kickback from. I would advise AGAINST wasting your money on this tour. Very poor value. Shame on Viator!
-
This tour was a bit misleading as most of the time was spent roaming around the countryside then only about 45 minutes in Szentendre which is what we wanted to see. One couple on our tour got off before we went wandering and they had the right idea. Very disappointing.

Totally wasteful time. The guide was useless.
