Overview

You will start your day in Anchorage witha fully guided tour during the scenic 2.5-hour drive to Talkeetna, Alaska. Upon arrival you will be treated to a hearty Alaskan meal before you arrive at the Jet Boat. Your 2-hour jet tour will begin aboard an enclosed jet boat, as it whisks you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. As you travel twenty miles of river wilderness, a Naturalist guide will talk about the rivers in the area, as well as information about Mt Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley.) You will have opportunities to view nesting bald eagles and beavers who seem to work every hour that the long light of summer provides. Upon arriving at the adventure site, we will take a leisurely -mile nature walk to a Dena'ina Indian Encampment. The Denaina have lived in these lands since time immemorial. Then its off to an authentic trappers cabin with original furnishings. Learn how early trappers in this region lived in "Bush" Alaska at the turn of the century.
