Know More about this tour

Join the group at the Viru Gate ( or the port if you're on a cruise ship)  to discover the Old Town Tallinn with our knowledgable and local guide. There will be a maximum of 8 people so it is always an intimate experience.

Start your tour with a drive to discover surrounding areas for a full sightseeing tour in Tallinn.
Admire Kadriorg Palace designed by Italian architect Niccolo Michetti: The palace and surrounding manicured gardens are a humbling example of Tsarist extravagance.
Visit Kadriorg Palace ( tickets are included) on your own leisure.
Walk in Kadriorg Park: the best place in town for relaxed strolling, pigeon feeding and life pondering.
View the Song Festival Ground to understand an important part of Estonian history. This is the sprawling event venue in Kadriorg holding a special place in Estonians hearts as the birthplace of the Singing Revolution.
Explore the eerily beautiful ruins of St. Bridgets, a medieval convent destroyed in 1577 for a unique and historic experience.
See Pirita Beach: the largest and most popular beach in Tallinn and enjoy magnificent views of Old Town and the busy sea traffic on the Gulf of Finland.
Once finished with Kadriorg part of the tour; jump to your vehicle and head to the old town.

The second part is a walking tour. Tallinns appeal is rooted in its rich history. Its UNESCO-protected old town has winding alleyways, ornate doorways and medieval courtyards.
Walk through the old town which is not all that big and is perfect for for exploring galleries and craft workshops, too. With its pastel-colored buildings all pretty in a row, the Town Hall Square is reminiscent of pages from a childrens fairytale book.
Get to know Tallinn's Lower Town and photo stop at the Tompea Hill for stunning views; admire the art at Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral and a have break at the Town Hall.
Learn in detail about the intriguing details on the grand baroque buildings, crumbling stucco facades, monumental gates and marble streets. Spend 2 hours walking in the Old Town, have a coffee break .
Once finished with the old town; you can choose to walk back to the ship with your guide or stay in the old town at your leisure. Tallinn is only very small; the old town is only 10 minutes walk to the port.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Talinn. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to an amazing little chocolate shop that we would have never have found on our own. Plan for a lot of walking!

Very disappointed with this tour. I was expecting a 2 hour walking tour of the old town then a bus ride to see  Kadriorg Palace, Tallinn Song Festival Grounds and Pirita as described on this tour. But we didn't get that. We were met by a private tour guide and we did a 4 hour walking tour instead. If I've known that we were not going on the bus to see other places outside the Old Town then I wouldn't have booked this tour. Paid €148 Euro for my husband and I and did not see what we wanted to see. Very disappointing.

Dennis was truly amazing - I really enjoyed our walk and tram ride through Tallinn. The weekend I was in town there was a festival in the old town and Dennis took me to the tourist information center so I could get more information. I enjoyed all the knowledge he had about the town - I especially enjoyed visiting the Russian Orthodox Church. Dennis was willing to take photos of me while we were on the tour (I was traveling solo) and he did a GREAT job! Riding the Tram to the Palace and its gardens was fun and the gardens themselves are outstanding. He showed me where the Kumu Museum was and the next day I visited the Zoo and the museum. (Note that you must be able to show proof of vaccination to enter the museum) This is a great way to orientate yourself to Tallinn and learn about the city - I highly recommend it!

This tour was absolutely worth it! Stas my tour guide was excellent. He was extremely well versed in the past and the present of the city. It was clear he is well known and respected by the locals. He introduced me to other locals who welcomed me into their stories. The time went by so fast and there was plenty of the Old Town left for a whole second tour.

We were in Tallinn on August 1, traveling via the Regal Princess. Tuli, our guide, met us at the dock right on time. She spoke very good English, and while she took us to see the main tourist highlights, she was also able to accommodate a couple of off the beaten path requests. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations for lunch. We would love to visit Tallinn again!

El tour privado fue excelente, mucha informacion para tan poco tiempo, nos falto tiempo ahi. La guia, Julia, excelente, domina bien el tema y muy amigable y buena actitud! La ciudad bellisima, invita a volver..

I am so very happy to know this company. It's our first time in Estonia and wanted to do a tour to cover the Old Town in Tallinn and the surrounding area. Our tour guide had a car and gave us a great introduction to the city, the culture, the history. He was the most awesome guide; so knowledgeable and knew so many interesting details about every thing we saw. We will definitely use Walks In Europe again. It was so nice to have the day tailored to our interests, have very knowledgeable sources to answer questions and not have to waste time waiting on a large tour group to reassemble due to lagging shoppers, bathroom breaks or extended photos. Well worth the price.
