Overview

Discover the best of Dalmatia, the region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, often synonymous with Croatias Adriatic coast. This day trip from Dubrovnik will certainly delight you, as you sample local food and enjoy the incredible scenery.

Know More about this tour

After you depart Dubrovnik, start your day trip through Dalmatia by visiting the charming village of Oraac, and take part in the production of olive oil in the old-fashioned way, where the mill is driven by a horse. Here, you will also have the opportunity to taste some homemade cheese, smoked ham and wine in a traditional Croatian house.

Enjoy a tour of Ston, which in the times of the Dubrovnik Republic, was the second-most important town in the area. Its wealth was derived from the salt works that are still functioning today. Although it was known for its spectacular city walls, the region today is predominantly known as the oyster capital of Croatia. After the tour, you will have free time in Ston to explore its city walls, one of the longest city walls in Europe. You will be served a tasty seafood platter with octopus, mussels, small fish and an oyster.

The best part of this trip was to the olive oil pressing. It was very informative and just like going back to the beginning of the last century. We also had a lovely salad with bread and wine and of course olive oil. The villages of Ston and Mori Ston were also interesting. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable

Slightly disappointing. The agency, Elite Travels has grown too big and the service was quite impersonal. Would definitely go for a smaller group like Amico tours.

Beautiful day trip in the Dubrovnik region. Started the trip at Gruž harbour where we met our guide. The best part of this trip was in Orašac - visited a farm for olive oil production yum!!!, smoked ham, cheese and vino. Family run, it was like they welcomed us into their home. Next stop was the impressive Great Wall Of Ston stop for food drinks, check out the salt mines or hike along the wall. Ended in Mali Ston. I was so excited about Mali Ston and found this portion of the trip disappointing. The restaurant they took us to, Bota Šare, rushed us in and out for the next group and the food seafood platter was a small serving and sadly just okay, it was all abrupt felt like they wanted us in and out. Mali Ston itself looked charming and I'd love to go back on my own. Overall this region was beautiful with the oyster capital of Croatia / mussel farms, purest salt in the Mediterranean and second largest city walls. Euro Adria Tours.

The tour was okay but nothing much to see in this trip. The stop at the olive oil production got to be boring but the food that they served was quite good.

I enjoyed this tour. I met a few Swedish Diplomates at the table. We enjoyed wine, smoked ham, fresh veggies and olive oil. I don't eat oysters, so my only criticism is that they should have an option for non oyster eaters. Half our table didn't care for mussels/oysters.
