You will meet your guide at Piazza Bellini, near the "greek walls", remains of the ancient fortification. Soon after you'll pass by The Conservatory of Naples, one of the most important in Italy. Then, your walk along Via dei Tribunali, the main street in the ancient times, will start. Here, you'll see the statue dedicated to Pulcinella, the most important neapolitan mask, originated in "Commedia dell'arte", the beginning of the Italian theatrical tradition. You'll be visiting a "boulangerie" to enjoy the delicious flavours of some of the typical culinary products (tarallo, mozzarella and some other local cheese, salami and fantastic wine).
Visit one of the most famous pizzerias in Naples, from 1935 this family-business restaurant prepare one of the best Neapolitan recipes. Here you'll taste fried pizza (filled with high- quality local ingredients) and "wallet pizza" traditional pizza margherita. Nest stop will be a typical local trattoria, here you'll savor two typical neapolitan "antipasto", and the two most popular neapolitan main dishes, pasta patate e provola, and the amazing rag sauce. And, of course, wine again!
In the heart of the old town is a tiny street called S. Gregorio Armeno, where all the most important nativity scene artists in the world have their workshops. Here is also the gateway to "Napoli Sotterranea", the adventurous visit of the underground part of the city.
Your walk will then continue to "Spaccanapoli", the road that cuts in two parts the old town. Discover the facts and curiosity about the most famous road in the city! On the way your guide will take you to a fish shop where you will try the "cuoppo" (a paper cone filled with a delicious variety of fresh fish) and limoncello, the traditional liquor from South of Italy.
Stroll around Piazza del Ges, where your guide will show you some of the beautiful churches (outside) in Naples old centre, so as Santa Chiara and Ges Nuovo.
Here comes the nice walk in Via Toledo, the main street, where the commercial area of the city begins. Behind Via Toledo, you'll see the Spanish Quarters, a series of narrow and long streets wich connects the commercial area to Vomero hill, another important residential area of the city. Finally, the wonderful Galleria dedicated to the second italian king Umberto I, the most elegant and popular meeting place of Naples.
