Our guide would come to pick you up around 7 AM from your hotel lobby in District 1. Amidst the vibrant bustle of Sai Gon streets, we set off towards Tay Ninh province. We might stop along the way for refreshment. Upon arrival, we will take a scenic cable car ride to the peak of Ba en Mountain, the highest peak in southern Vietnam. From the top, you can not only admire the magnificent Tay B a Son Buddha Statue, the tallest bronze Buddha statue in Asia, but also enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including picturesque villages and rice fields that stretch all the way to the border with Cambodia. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning scenery!
After that, we transfer to the Cao ai Temple which has been described as a Walt Disney fantasia of the East. The temple's exterior is decorated with multi-colored dragons of all shapes and sizes competing for space with a number of swastikas. Above the main entrance is the all-seeing holy eye, the symbol of the Cao ai sect. The interior is just as engaging as statues of Jesus, Buddha, Confucius and Laozi stand side by side. Admire the beautiful building of Cao ais biggest temple and join the ceremony to understand more about this uniquely Vietnamese religion. By around 1 PM, your delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Savor the flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine while taking in the ambiance and hospitality of the locals.
We will drive for approximately 40-60 minutes to reach the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site. Upon arrival, we will watch a brief propaganda video before spending the next hour exploring weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic VC tunnels, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition etc.), firing range and more. Try some local tapioca before driving back to the city. We'll journey back to the vibrant heart of H Chi Minh City, a scenic drive that takes approximately 1.5 hours. Relax and take in the stunning countryside views as we return to the hustle and bustle of city life. Finally, we'll drop you off back at your hotel.

Really enjoyed the tour to the Cau Dai temple. Was there at the right time to see their prayer session.
The Cu Chi tunnels was very interesting. Gave a good view of the fighting methods in the different wars. Going in the tunnel is not for the tall, knee or back sensitive or claustrophobic.but didnt take away from the experience.
Guide was fantastic, great English and answered any questions
The restaurant that the lunch was included was substandard to what we have experienced in like restaurants in Vietnam. -

I didn't even want to see the tunnels, but had to go there in order to see the Cao Dai Temple, which was great. The guide started with interesting facts about Vietnamese family life, but then after the tunnels gave some incorrect facts about Americans in the war, which is inappropriate when you are accepting payments from American tourists. I became rather ill just before we got to the tunnels and just sat in the shade while the others were tunneling. Before the tunnels the guide expressed concern, but afterward she didn't even ask where I was or how I felt. The bus was quite decrepit and very crowded.

A great tour. Guide was excellent in both knowledge on the temple and the tunnels. We stopped at a workshop on our way to the Temple, which supported/gave jobs for victims of war, amazing artwork. Temple was interesting and pretty. Saw part of their noon ritual. Had lunch, and then made way for the tunnels/war exhibits. All in all a great full day!
It was quite long, we had planned on being done by 5pm, however did go from about 8am - 7.30pm when getting dropped back in Ho Chi Minh City. This is not a complaint, just warning if you wanted to also make dinner plans. The temple is a long way out so it is probably this long most of the time.
