Leaving Lima behind, you'll enjoy a scenic coastal drive along the Pan-American highway. Only 19 miles (30km) south of Lima lies this impressive and well preserved religious compound.
The massive Temples of the Sun and the Moon are known to be the compound's most striking features. Built entirely of clay, an estimated 50 million sun-dried bricks were used in the construction of the Temple of the Sun alone. Excavations in the area continue to reveal further insights into the Moche and Huari cultures that spanned the period from 200 to 800 AD.

Took this tour yesterday and really enjoyed it. Nice informative museum. The smaller tour vehicles are allowed to drive to various parts of the site where you walk a shorter distance. This is helpful due to the huge area it covers.
-
The tour was great. The guides provided great information along the way to Pachacamac as well as when we got there. The site was very interesting and the museum was very well done.
-
The tour goes through some Lima neighborhoods and then to the ruins. They look like giant washed up sand castles. The commentary is interesting and the ruins are striking.
-
The Pachacamac Archaeological site as magnificent and as interesting as Machu Picchu and at near sea level, the hiking around was much easier. The museum is a must visit to understand the pre-Inca and Inca occupation of the site.

A great and amazing tour!
Our guide was really nice and told us very interesting things about Lima districts and peruvian civilizations. -
Picked up at the specified time and location. Guide spoke excellent English. Arrived before the rest of the tourists so we had the place to ourselves. Definitely worth a visit. Only problem was organising the pick up point. The website link when sent didn’t work so I had to contact to organise. However this was efficient and easy to do over their webchat service.

Great morning, great guide.

It was an okay tour. Be advise that the air in Lima is really bad if you suffer from allergies or have breathing problems, take a mask.
