Guachimontones and Casa Herradura are both beautiful places to see with a lot of history to learn about. The driver was nice and spoke great English.
The downside to this was that for the price, there wasn't even an option to stop in between the two places for lunch. My family and I were the only ones on this tour 4 people and even though we suggested stopping for food, the driver just brushed it off and kept saying we'd go to Tequila town after both stops to eat. Being picked up at 9:15 am and dropped off in Tequila Town at 4 pm is way too long to go without lunch especially because you will be consuming tequila. With so many great options along the way, this trip should be organized better or cost less. We could have hired an uber driver for half the cost.
Bring LOTS of water and snacks if you book this trip

We ended up having a private tour! SCORE! The agency did try to switch us to the Cuervo tour 1 hour as the Herradura tour is 3 hours.
Ramon was our guide for the day and spoke beautiful English. We began our morning at the Guachimontones and they were amazing! I wore sandals but would recommend tennis shoes as rocky. We then went to the Herradura Distillery and were greeted by Vincente, who has impeccable English. We had Vicente give us a tour in 1 1/2 hours and really amazing to learn the history of the hacienda and how many lives were saved during the revolution. I previously toured Sauza so could compare. Herradura is the best tequila! Guide wanted to return to Guadalajara but I said, nope, I paid for tour of Tequila. so we had an amazing lunch and quick visit of town. Agency is different than Amigos Tour so confusing stick with the tour you paid for and they will make it happen after begging you to change a few times.
