What a great spent in Chania. Our food and walking tour guide Sophia was amazing. She took us to eat at authentic Greek restaurants and showed us and taught so much about Crete. She loves her city and it shows! Thanks, Sophia!

Our tour guide (Sophia) went above and beyond our expectations. Sophia started out as our guide and ended up being our Friend!

This was a fantastic tour with our wonderful guide Kelly. From the moment we set off we were laughing and having a great time. Kelly is such a welcoming person, and has a fantastic way of sharing the history of Chania. It was like having an afternoon with a friend from the area. We went to eat a places that would never have been on our radar, got a feel for proper local food. Would highly recommend this tour.

This is a must do. We spent 4hrs walking around with Kelly, learning about the history of Chania, it’s food, and it’s culture. We were able to get some amazing recommendations on other places to eat and visit. It was also an incredible way to get out bearings of the city on our first day. Can not recommend this enough.

We spent a lovely afternoon with Antonis and walked all around Chania town! We not only had delicious bites but learnt alot from Antonis about Cretian and Chania history and he brought us to secret locations with breathtaking views for photo ops as well…highly recommend this!

We had our 17 yr old and 20 yr old with us. They both enjoyed the tour despite being a little afraid to try some of the foods. It was our first day in Chania and the perfect way to get situated and know the area and restaurants. Stephanie was a great tour guide. Highly recommend!

Best 200 Euro's spent on the trip. It was worth every penny. The whole experience from the online booking onwards was excellent. We were a group of 3: my wife, daughter (7) and I. We were greeted by our tour guide Sofia just outside the old city near the new market at about 10 am. Sofia was so lively, knowledgeable and caring. We first did a few places outside the old city which included tasting typical breakfast dishes (Bougatsa), coffee, pies and cheeses etc. By this point, we were pretty stuffed. Then we started heading to the old city where we spent a good amount of walking, burning off the stuff we ate in the morning. Sofia pretty much walked us through the entire history of the Chania, and took us to many historic places, churches, old mosques, synagogues, old Turkish bath houses, historic buildings turned into cafes etc. We stopped at a few shops along the way. We were never rushed and she was super helpful with recommendations. Then at about 1 pm we went to get Gyros and then desserts. Everything we ate was delicious. The entire tour took about 4 hours. So it's a good amount of walking. But given it's at your own pace it was totally manageable even for my daughter. Also note that even though this is a food tour, there is a fair bit of non-food-related walking involved. Which IMO was a good welcome break between breakfast and lunch. Special kudos to Sofia who was super awesome and was helping us even after the tour for the next couple of days with recommendations and with reservations. That I am pretty sure was not a part of the package, but speaks to the true good nature of people in Chania. Definitely recommend this tour. Especially to do it at the beginning of your stay at Chania. It's a great way to get to know the city, understand the food, and different cultures that had once influenced this beautiful place, and get recommendations for what is local.

Our private guide was excellent. She was flexible as we had to cut the tour short due to travel arrangements. We tasted delicious food all over Chania, while learning the history of the city. Our 2 teen children enjoyed the tour too. I would definitely recommend!

Taking this city tour on our first day was an excellent way to get to know the city and figuring out all of the streets. Kelly was an amazing guide and provided history of the town and the different districts. We ate breakfast that morning and there was so many food tastings on this tour, we wish we hadn’t! Simply amazing! Highly recommend this tour.

This was a really fun tour. Our guide was Adonis, who was very knowledgeable of the history of Chania - and the key sites around the Old Town and harbor. Several stops for really tasty local foods, a couple of which only exist in Chania itself. A lively 4 hours, and we highly recommend!
