Know More about this tour

The Golden Triangle Day Tour package in Kathmandu Nepal begins after breakfast when your private car with driver and guide picks you up at your hotel and takes you to the first of the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the tour. The first one is Boudhanath, an immense Buddhist stupa.

Boudhanath is the largest Buddhist stupa in Asia and a major Buddhist pilgrimage site. This immense stupa is 36 m/118 ft high and is surrounded by the largest Tibetan Buddhist refugee community in Nepal. Boudhinath is a place where you can see traditional Tibetan Buddhism being practiced. There will be time to explore the Tibetan monastery as well as circumambulating this immense stupa.

The next stop is Pashupatinath, the most sacred Hindu site in Nepal. It is here that Lord Shiva turned himself into a deer and frolicked along the edges of the sacred Bagmati River. There are nearly 500 temples here as well as cremation ghats where the ashes of the faithful are mixed each day with the sacred waters.  Hindu holy men teach along the banks of the river while the faithful come and perform pujas to the various Hindu gods.

The next stop is Bhaktapur. Situated east of Kathmandu, it was once its own kingdom. The entire city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its unique beauty. Bhaktapur represents traditional art of the Newari people who have lived here for nearly 1000 years.

The 55 Window Royal Palace contains 55 exquisitely carved windows. There are two major temple areas which includes the tallest temple in the Kathmandu Valley. The narrow streets are to be explored as they contain craftsmen who continue to produce traditional crafts as they have done for centuries.

Bhaktapur is a prime example of royal art as featured here in the City of Devotees. While there are many Hindu temples here, the detailed stone carvings will truly amaze you as you behold their life-likeness.

The Kathmandu day tour is the best way to see the finest blend of culture, religion, art and history. Each of the three places in the Golden Triangle 1 Day Tour represents a different aspect of the Kathmandu Valley.
