Know More about this tour

Step into this old cavalry barracks and former university for an insight into Naples' past and mind-blowing Greco-Roman artefacts.

The Naples' National Archaeological Museum was established in the late 18th century by the Bourbon king Charles VII, ultimately to house the antique treasures handed down to him from his mother!

Explore artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum and don't miss the _Toro Farnese_ (_Farnese Bull_) sculpture, or the iconic statue of Atlas with a globe on his shoulders in the first-floor library.

There are also stunning mosaics, bronzes, glassworks, ceramics and engraved coppers from Pompeii, Herculaneum and other ancient cultures. And down in the basement you'll find the Borgia collection of Egyptian relics and epigraphs.

It's a history fix like no other in Naples!
