This tour will take you to the very far east of the island and the beautiful Palm beach of Vai, as well as Itanos and the Toplou monastery.

After picking you up from your accomodation at 9:00am we will head east around the bay of Mirabello. Vai beach is a 2.5 hour trip so we will stop at several places of interest along the way to break up your journey. Included in your stops will be a Ghost town, the Minoan settlement of Gournia, the panorama at Kavousi and then the monastery at Toplou. At Toplou after a visit to the Monastery you may also like a visit to the onsite Winery. Please note there are extra small entrance fees required at the Monastery & Winery.

Onwards we travel to the remains of the Minoan city of Itanos, you can explore the ruins before we move on to the Palm Beach of Vai. Vai is a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by palm trees, here you can sunbathe and take a dip in the crystal clear blue water.

This is a very popular beach in summer so can get a little busy at times, it also has toilets & a taverna for drinks etc.

After a stay at the beach we will then take you to a local taverna for your Cretan meze lunch with local wine..

Due to the distance of this tour and the travel times involved we can be flexible on the tour. So if you would rather spend more time at the beach or more time at the sights along the way please let your driver know and he will do his best to achieve your wishes.
