Very interesting to learn the social history of the area. Good to see the cross section of ages from young children to the grey heads! The guide pitched her narrative to be of interest to all.
-
Very interesting tour, highly recommend. So much information to learn about the area that most of us would just walk past without noticing things
-
Great tour! Highly recommend! Michael was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable. Also, gave us a great recommendation for lunch after the tour.

We do a lot of tours while traveling... and have experienced the best and the worst. This one fell in the middle. Not great, not terrible. The guide was nice, but not particularly tuned into the group. His microphone continued to fall away from his face, and he couldn't be heard. We actually left the tour before the end ... that was a first for two people in my group.
-
Very informative and interesting. Our only criticism was that, we had paid for the tour, but there were about 6 people who joined the tour who had obviously NOT paid, and we think that is most unfair. If we'd known that we could do that too, and get away with it, we would NOT HAVE paid either. There should be some kind of indication that the tour is a paid one eg na mens on stickers and the word PAID stamped on it. Although we pointed out to our guide that we had these people who had NOT PAID had joined the queue, she did nothing about it answer think that is most unfair. We PAID good money as pensioners, and to have 'free loaders' allowed to get away with FREE TOUR is NOT FAIR.
-
The tour concentrated on interesting snippets of information largely focussing in the old building in front of you and the characters of the past. We learnt a lot!
-
Anne was great. She has such a depth of knowledge of the area and great rapport with all nationalities.
-
Very good history of early settlement of Sydney. The walk was not taxing; pretty leisurely. There was some repetition, but overall it was a very good history and insights into early settlement. Easy and convenient meeting location.
-
We expected a tour of the rocks pointing out many different spots. Whilst the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the content was more a talk on the history of Australia rather than the buildings and sites around The Rocks. There was a lot of standing around listening rather visiting places of interest.

Excellent walking tour.Highly experienced guide with interesting and amusing tales of the early history of European settlement . Made our weekend away(from Perth,WA) a more enjoyable experience.
