Know More about this tour

Your tour starts by skipping the lines to walk directly into the catacombs. This vast, underground cemetery is composed of miles of underground tunnels lined with the skulls and bones of some 6 million Parisians. In the company of an expert guide and a small group of 20people or fewer, explore this unbelievable city of the dead where each room reveals ever more ornate and macabre bone decorations.

Along the way, hear the unbelievable story of how the catacombs were built and the massive project that was undertaken to move bones from around the city to this point. Your special-access status means the guards will also open gates just for your group, letting you into areas like a secret chapel ornately decorated with skulls and femurs.

Believe it or not, the Paris Catacombs are just as much a symbol of the city as Notre Dame or the Eiffel Tower. • This was amazing. we had just gotten off a plane, had low expectations I mean it's bones right?. we were blown away and I credit it all to Ferit yes that's his name, our amazing tour guide. Great history. Wonderful dramatic interludes complete with music to fit the occasion. he set the bar really high for every tour to follow!!

  • Excellent tour, it was certainly worth paying the little extra to skip the long queues.

  • Randa was our tour guide and she exhibited the perfect balance of storytelling, historical references and humor. You can tell by how captivated our small group was, and how other visitors would try to join in our group to listen to her speak. It was also very cool to be admitted to the special access area that is gated off to the general public. It's worth the extra cost, and without the wait since it was so cold that day!

  • Charlie was a fabulous guide. Witty, knowledgeable and passionate. A really good tour and we bypassed the huge line waiting to get in. You want be disappointed.

  • Our guide Randa was amazing! She was very knowledgable about Paris history and the catacombs.
I really enjoyed the tour and being able to skip the 4 hour long line.
I'm just not sure why the tour was so expensive

  • The highlight of our Paris trip. Ferett was our guide and he was great the special access areas we gained were unbelievable. Took photos in the areas and showed ferett which even he couldn't explain had altars not in pictures then in the next shot. Picture of a well was the same. We Loved it

  • Excellent tour, our guide was very informative and gave us a good run down on the history of the catacombs. Wasn’t prepared to see all these bones do neatly stacked.

  • The Catacombs were very easy to get to using the Metro. Our guide Randa was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a full history of the creation of the Catacombs and its uses over hundreds of years. We saved 3 to 5 hours by skipping the line and learned so much with a guided tour rather than walking it ourselves. Well worth the little extra and a fascinating place to visit.
