Know More about this tour

Your tour starts by skipping the lines to walk directly into the catacombs. This vast, underground cemetery is composed of miles of underground tunnels lined with the skulls and bones of some 6 million Parisians. In the company of an expert guide and a small group of 20 people or fewer, explore this unbelievable city of the dead where each room reveals ever more ornate and macabre bone decorations.

Along the way, hear the unbelievable story of how the catacombs were built and the massive project that was undertaken to move bones from around the city to this point. Your special-access status means the guards will also open gates just for your group, letting you into areas like a secret chapel ornately decorated with skulls and femurs.

Believe it or not, the Paris Catacombs are just as much a symbol of the city as Notre Dame or the Eiffel Tower. They contain bones representing some 2,000 years of history, and their construction was a unique civil engineering project that helped give rise to the modern city. If you want to see a different and completely surprising side of the City of Lights, this is the perfect place to start.

  • A fun tour and some imazing history behind the catacombs. The bones seem to go on for miles and appear endless. Hard to believe there are 6,000,000 corpses down in these caves. The real story is how they were all placed there over time.

  • Its OK really. Guide was great and she had lot of knowledge about this tunnels. There was pretty long queue but as this tour is private we just skipped the long queue probably 1 hour and went straight into the tunnels. Don't expect to see skeletons right from the beginning. You will see it after an hour or so. We also had access to other parts of tunnels which general public didn't had. Its bit pricey though!

  • What an amazing tour! Randa was fantastic! I definitely recommend this to anyone!

  • Love, love, loved this tour! Not only did the special access save us hours of standing in line in the hot sun, we were granted access to other parts of the site we wouldn't have otherwise seen. I can absolutely say that we wouldn't have gotten nearly as much out of this experience without a guide.

  • The catacombs are more than I had imagined. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The lines for this were huge and the toickeynwellnworth it!

  • I thought it was a great tour. I had been to the catacombs before, but it was great to go again and have someone explain things in more depth than the texts, as well as point out details I would have never noticed otherwise. My tour guide Ferret was great. I didnt get the chance to thank him in person so ill say it here. Thank you Ferret!

  • Very well done with great tour guide. It lasted a bit long but well worth it. Our 2nd time doing this and this tour was much better than years go.

  • This was an excellent tour and our tour guide, Ferit, did an outstanding job. He was knowledgeable, funny and keep things moving. Highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Paris.

  • This was by far one of the best highlights from our weeklong trip in paris. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was insanely knowledgable and engaging. He made sure that each member in our group of 11 or so had a view of everything he was showing and really go our interest peeking with additional visuals, fun facts, and incorporated his humor to make it super fun. This tour is seriously a gem and you would be crazy not to take it! me and my husband left there and continue to talk about the insane facts, the experience, and the overall enjoyment that we got out of it-- and its been 3 weeks since!

  • The tour was well organized. Our guide, Charlie, was amazing!! It was definitely worth getting the special access pass no waiting in lines, detailed/guided info, and private access. Was really worth it!!
