Being completely stuffed at the end of this experience notwithstanding, this was truly eye-opening! This area of Copenhagen surprised us all with its rich history and additionally with the breadth and quality of the culinary work being done and not merely in the usual Danish favorites. To be sure, traditional selections were tasty and substantial. Piled as high as one of their roast beef smorrebrod were the other experiences that Simon arranged for the group which included small batch brewed coffee, lovingly crafted ice cream (and adult beverages with carefully selected mini-ice cream bars), bespoke chocolates, some of the best pizza anywhere (who knew?) and wonderfully eclectic microbrews! Despite arriving fairly hungry, we were a bit overfull at the end, but how could we refuse any of those treats? Luckily we had a 17-year-old to make sure no slice of that delicious pizza was left behind! We were very fortunate to have a super fun and adventurous group of co-conspirators, but many thanks to Simon for showcasing what is on offer in the Meat Packing District!

We were expecting to experience some danish food (the advertised pictures of the tour displayed smorebrod and fish, that is the reason we had booked this danish gourmet food tour). Instead we had middleeastern food and (mediocre) pizza. None of the 10 participants had any food restrictions, but one of the guides had, so they ordered a gluten free pizza, nobody wanted to try. That was unprofessional. This is a very expensive tour. Please advertise what you deliver! It doesnt require much time to change a picture in the description.

Simon was an excellent tour leader. He was personable and knowledgeable about not only the area we toured but about Denmark in general. We sampled food and drinks in the Meatpacking District, including Palestinian food, ice cream, pizza, chocolate and beer. I highly recommend this tour.

SO GLAD I did this tour. Went with a GREAT local lady on July 14 2020. Positive and knowledgeable about her city and it's food - great and memorable tour. I can now lecture you on the wonderfulness of Copenhagen's food scene. Meat-packing district a serious highlight. YUM + INTERESTING = happy me.

Really good tour with exiting insights into the 'backyard' of the old slaughter houses with good restaurants. Especially the open sandwiches and the cod ceviche was delicious.

It was a great food tour! We were very full and Maria is very knowledgeable not only about the food but about Denmark in general. We had so many questions for her about Denmark and she knew everything!

Maria was a wealth of knowledge as she led us on a discovery of the local history and new food trends in the West End district. This was one of the most interesting 3 hours that we spent in Copenhagen and opened our eyes to a district that we previously knew nothing about. All questions were answered in good humour by our personable guide and there were a few surprises thrown in. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in food and local culture.

We had an unexpectedly perfect tour as the main event of our day today. She was so professional, approachable, considerate and thorough! We learned a lot about Danish history and culinary vibrancy while having an enjoyable walk through the city. A perfect way to experience this fascinating place and to become at home here.
