Know More about this tour

Your tour of Three Countries In One Day: France, Andorra And Spain From Barcelona starts from a centrally located pickup point in Barcelona. Relax during the scenic journey to Baga in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and marvel at the majestic perimeter of rocky peaks in the Cadi-Moixero National Park as you arrive in Baga.

As this sleepy village of Baga comes to life, you can get a fresh pastry or sandwich in the local bakery and a coffee in one of the many typical cafes, before rejoining your guide who will give you a short walking tour of Baga before leaving you some free time to explore alone.

Head deeper into the countryside as you ride toward the French border. Your next stop is the charming and beautiful ancient spa town of Ax Les Thermes. You will then have free to enjoy the healing waters and browse the local artisan shops where you can buy local cheeses and cured meats.

After an hour of wandering around this typical French village, its time to choose from one of the many local restaurants for a traditional French lunch. After a memorable French experience, you will meet back at the bus to head toward Andorra.

Your route takes you through the beautiful Pyrenees Alps to Andorra la Vella, the capital of the small but stunning country of Andorra.

On your way, cross the Pas de la Casa, an amazing high-mountain pass with some stunning photo opportunities.

As you descend into Andorra you will stop off at a typical mountain valley where you will get a glimpse of how Andorra used to be. Tiny stone huts dot the mountainside, a Roman church stands guard as it has done for centuries. There will be a chance for you to enjoy a brief hike to get away from it all.

From here, head down the valleys into Andorra de la Vella. This will be your last stop of the day, but you will have enough time to do a little bit of duty-free shopping.

At about 4 pm, you will return to the bus and head back to Barcelona via a different route. This drive takes you through dramatic gorges, past verdant farmland, and alongside lakes and rivers.

You will stop en route for a chance to stretch your legs and quench your thirst before arriving back in Barcelona at about 7.30 pm.

Having spend almost two weeks in Barcelona by myself and then as part of a small group tour, I wanted to get out of the city for a different adventure. Seeing Andorra was something I had wanted to do ever since I collected the stamps as a kid. Seeing the Pyrenees white-capped with snow was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed looking at the Spanish countryside as we made our way to the little villages in Spain and France. Not much to see in Baga, Spain but I found it fun that we strolled around the town square and no one seemed to be awake at 10am! Our guide informed us that we had to get coffee at one place and pastries/bread at another. She was right. I got the coffee first, making sure to request "con leche" as it was quite strong. While in the pastry shop with several locals, I announced that I didn't speak Spanish or Catalonian (in my limited Spanish), but that I did speak English and German. I don't know why, but they cheered me! Ax-les-Thermes, France was a nice little stop and we happened to be there on market day. I enjoyed lunch at a little restaurant where I enjoyed the company of guys from the UK and Russia (Siberia). We shared travel experiences. Just being able to say I had been to Andorra delights my friends who had never heard of the place. Other than going through the lovely mountains and seeing active ski resorts, the only stop was at the border to get our passports stamped (yay!) and then on to the capitol, Andorra la Vella, the highest capital city in Europe I got to see the Dali sculpture and purchased a Starbucks Andorra mug (first kid on my block to have one) and found an Andorran Euro. Our guide (Marta?) made the trip more enjoyable along the way by explaining the sights while still allowing us quiet time to nap.

Xavier our guide was fantastic. He gave us a lot on history and information. Lucky there was fresh snow and only a few sprinkles.

Consider yourself one of the very fortunate few that has the opportunity to take a wanderers trip right through the foothills of the Pyrenees in the Northen most reach of Catalonia, into the mountainous region of France, visiting the adorable duchy of Andorra and a final spectacular ride back to Barcelona. The scenery was quite to behold. All of it on a comfortable couch bus and within a 12 hour time frame.
Sergei’ our guide was not only patient and informative, he had a good sense of humor too.

The guide Anna was very knowledgeable. She shared a lot of history and interesting stories with us along the way! We are very satisfied and truly enjoyed this trip. Even there was heavy snow and we could not get to Ax Les Thermes. Thanks to our professional driver Toni made sure we were safe and getting to places on time!

The Three Countries in One Day trip was amazing. In one day we were able to get out an explore the Catalon region to take in its beauty, its history, and its culture. The driver (Pedro) made the trip easy for us to do. Our guide (Gloria) was extremely knowledgeable and her love for Catalonia was evident. She was informative while being personable and fun. Loved her!! It was a great trip. Highly recommend it.

It's a long day on this trip, but worth it. We booked the tour as a way to get to and experience Andorra. The tour guide was engaging, he stayed active and pointed things out the entire way there and back (while respecting the sleepers too). Upon arrival in all of the stops, he did a brief orientation and then sets you free to self-explore. We enjoyed the trip very much and I would recommend this as an introduction to the Pyrenees region, especially if you want to avoid driving yourself/car rentals.
