Know More about this tour

We will pick you up at 8am from your hotel in Cusco. Then board our transport to the south valley of Cusco.

First we will visit the Inca city of Tipon an elaborate set of terraces and water channels. It is thought to have been used as a ceremonial center to worship water. The town below is also home to various roadside sellers on the weekends, when Cusquenians come to enjoy guinea pig on a stick, or roast in a clay oven.

Along the route we will have a brief stop by Oropesa town, known as the bread capital of Peru due to having over forty bakeries, which is the main economy in this town.

After a few minutes drive we will arrive in Pikillacta the only pre-Inca site in the Cusco. This adobe complex was built by the Wari culture who once dominated the central highland and coastal regions of Peru. Widely considered the first culture to make use of mass agricultural terraces, many of the Inca administrative practices can be traced back to the Wari civilization.

Finally we will visit Andahuaylillas the Sistine Chapel of the Americas. Andahuaylillas is situated in a beautiful, quiet plaza, this baroque church is famous for its incredible artwork. It has many fine examples of paintings completed by the Cusco Religious Art School (Escuela Cuzquea).

On our way back to Cusco we can stop in Saylla town to get a chance and try the traditional Cusco fried pork (chicharrones).

Then we will drive you back to your hotel in Cusco arriving around 2pm.
